Hounding other posters...

First topic message reminder :

I’ve become really disinterested in this site, to the point of actually saying to the Forum owner today, that I cannot moderate a site where it’s acceptable to ban words but not hounding.

You know what “hounding” is? It’s a sneaky way of bullying.

Don’t hound people. Don’t arrive on a thread and pick on a poster because you don’t like them, or they annoy you, or they didn’t answer you on another thread.

What is wrong with you people? Just fucking debate your point and if someone doesn’t agree with you then shrug your shoulders and go about your day.

Do you have to BE RIGHT before you can sleep peacefully?

ok so as things stand yes it shows bad judgement but thats because society gets its tights in a tangle about that sort of thing......if society shrugged its shoulders and said ...whatever floats yer boat......as long as it doesnt affect your ABILITY to make judgement (for instance drug taking)...then ????????????????????

It is what it is, Vic.  If America is prudish, well, it still works as Kompromat.  Putin can threaten to publish the pissing prostitutes and Trump, knowing full well that it will work on those southern Baptists.  Kompromat is both carrot and stick...pull 'em in with enticements, and keep them in with threats.

Honestly, the mere fact that these politicians have cooperated with a foreign adversary, is now a threat to hold over their heads. It's simple extortion...better known as blackmail.

It works.  Putin has a good estimation of America.

But the pissing-prostitutes is not the only ploy he has played.  In fact, it's just the one that raises eyebrows.

Each useful idiot is different.  I'm sure there are other traps that have sprung, too. What about the Trump Tower Moscow?

Probably a lot of different games with other useful idiots I have mentioned. And, as I say, even to deal with a foreign adversary is to open one to blackmail.

But it's no longer 'alternative'.  Strange occurrences have become mainstream.  When did 'presidential character' come to mean rude and abusive?  When did presidential candidates start grabbing pussy?  And the lies...lies to the left of us, lies to the right, right down thru the middle we face lies.  That's not alternative...that's the here and now.  Remember how surprised we all were that Trump got elected?  Seems everybody was surprised, because 3-million more votes went to Clinton than Trump.  WTF?  When did the US cease to be a democracy?

Indeed, when did Mexico become a hate target?  And Muslims banned from entering the country?  When did the US go from being a nation of rights, to a nation of hate?  Why do we now hate the international relationships we built?  NATO, an organization we initiated, is now the enemy.  When did we start hating Canada, with that "pussy Prime Minister named Pierre something?"  How about destroying trade with China, the second richest economy in the world?  Since when did tariffs become a levy on the other guy, instead of a tax on ourselves?  And Mexico will pay for it!   And we need to throw away $40-billion in corporate welfare as a result of our economic war with China??  Whatever happened to austerity and private initiative?

And then the US government starts checking in with Moscow to see if certain policy decisions are to their liking?  Then there's that debacle in Helsinki, when Trump is seen licking the bony little ass of Vladimir Putin.  Does that seem normal to you, eds?

What about the assault on law and order, the firing of the FBI Chief because he wouldn't let a criminal get off...when was the last time I saw such a thing...Oh, John Gotti, head of the Gambino Crime family.  And violations of the Constitution?  OMG!  An Attorney General who is a hatchet man?  A Supreme Court Justice appointment who is a serial, gang rapist?  A Health Department Secretary who goes on a 4-year vacation, while gutting the provisions for health in the nation?  Complete disregard for Congress and it's oversight function?  Indeed, complete disregard for congressional subpoenas.  And declaring a national emergency to build a wall?  (That one I might give him a pass on.  We could use the National Emergency Act to create a fully funded healthcare system in the US.  If a mere wall is important enough to justify a national emergency, then surely American lives and the well-being of American health is the equivalent.)

These monumental, even catastrophic events have the touch of someone from the outside...someone who is dismissive, or at least not familiar with American traditions.  Someone who has Kompromat on American officials, but who causes outrageous blunders in pursuit of his mission.  These events are so amazing that I can't see incremental creep as to motivator.  So I believe someone from the outside--Vladimir Putin--has the ability to manipulate events in America.  It wouldn't be hard; it would just take a concerted effort of someone, to locate the parts of the central nervous system (Congress & Senate...plus a President), and discover the buttons to push--especially in the new environment of the World Wide Web.
