Hounding other posters...

I’ve become really disinterested in this site, to the point of actually saying to the Forum owner today, that I cannot moderate a site where it’s acceptable to ban words but not hounding.

You know what “hounding” is? It’s a sneaky way of bullying.

Don’t hound people. Don’t arrive on a thread and pick on a poster because you don’t like them, or they annoy you, or they didn’t answer you on another thread.

What is wrong with you people? Just fucking debate your point and if someone doesn’t agree with you then shrug your shoulders and go about your day.

Do you have to BE RIGHT before you can sleep peacefully?

So here’s my first post...

It pisses me off too. It happens all the time, with certain posters. I won't name names, if we don't get to that point.

When I  say ''unnecessary'' - I mean I'm not rude to anyone, so it's not as if it's tit for tat.

Rudeness and anger, in debates, is unwarranted and says more about the angry person than anything else.

I'm torn on this one. On the one hand, I think if someone hounds another poster across the forum, they're really just showing themselves up as a sad little pathetic person. And I think that is true.

On the other hand, to the person being hounded, it's like someone who continuously jumps in front of you, no matter what you're doing, and shoves a sign in your face that reads "you're a prick." You can't enjoy one single thread or debate without having to deal with or ignore the person hounding you.

So yeah, hounding is a shit tactic, and we'll be watching out for that behavior.

If you have to hound someone you need to look at your behaviour.

Do you need to be right before you can sleep?

I find it really odd.

I'm not sure I've ever called Wolfie a bully.

Not really a term I use because I never feel bullied.

I have called him obnoxious.

He continues to prove me correct.

And for the record, I still have Quill and Wolf on block.

I still see parts of what they post, but I don't respond directly.

Kind of hard for me to hound them. Not hard for me to be a bastard. That comes natural.
