That's because in this country, the human rights of scum far outweigh the human rights of innocent victims, even when those victims are children.

We desperately need to change the law so we are not tied up in the ECHR which prevents us deporting foreign criminals and illegal immigrants.

The ECHR is not the EU...

Until the approval of the proposed United Kingdom Bill of Rights at some time in the future, Parliament is still legally bound by the European Convention on Human Rights, the ultimate arbiter on which are the judges of the European Court of Human Rights.

The ECHR, as Tommy correctly says, is not a European Union institution….the “Supreme Court” of the EU is the European Court of Justice.

Strictly speaking, when The U.K. quit the European Union, and was no longer subject to higher judicial authority on other than human rights matters, the final arbiter on domestic legal issues reverted to our own Supreme Court.

One of the big problems concerning Northern Ireland at the moment is that the EU commission is insisting that their own ECJ should be the overriding legal authority on EU/U.K. trade and customs and excise rules whereas the Loyalist Ulster political parties and the present U.K. government are absolutely opposed to this on the grounds that it creates an international border not between The Ulster Counties and the EU member state of the Republic of Ireland but actually within the U.K. itself.

Of course settlement of the problem may well be put on hold now that the U.K. Conservative government under Boris Johnson has imploded over the past 48 hours.

A simple solution to Ireland/northern Ireland is for the Republic of Ireland to be given some sort of special status by the EU, as it the EU that is the problem there, as it is the EU that would want to put in a hard border between Ireland and Northern Ireland, UK wouldn't do this... But funny how it is the EU that also keeps going on about the need to do something because of the importance of the Good Friday agreement...


Or maybe even Ireland should leave the EU too...?

What we should do is break out of the Northern Ireland protocol, as it is not working, then tell Ireland that we will uphold our side of the Good Friday Agreement... And let Ireland sort out with the EU what they are going to do about the EUs plan to put up a hard border between Ireland and Northern Ireland!


Surely Ireland won't allow this and will have to sort out the solution with the EU themselves.

Or...new 'troubles' will break out.
