Re: More Brexit woe.
Why, the goods we are trading are the same goods we were trading yesterday today and tomorrow, coming from the same countries to here and from here to the same countries as before, ok there'll be tariffs but we don't actually pay anything at the port of origin or receipt, it can't be like a toll bridge or nothing would ever move.
The EU has three possibilities, let us leave on good terms and continue to trade more or less as we are with tariffs if needs be spoil everyone's day and mess everything up, in order to punish the UK and put off anyone else who wants to leave, or it can take a long hard look at itself and reform.
After all if its all so marvellous why would anyone else want to leave, it could afford to be magnanimous, they know things aren't right so its the punishment way hoping it'll con everyone else in the EU.

Re: More Brexit woe.
It's a pity the forum retard cannot counter the worrying reports from such a wide variety of reputable sources such as the BBC, Sky News, The Independant, the Guardian, the Mirror, The Express and the Mail.
Being a docile drone, he won't recognise that many of the sources are actually PRO Brexit, but feel obliged to report the cons of Brexit as they are starting to become a disaster and are already impacting on profits and jobs.
Tell "Who cares" to the 9000 minimum wage Tesco workers who will soon lose their jobs.
I don't suppose they will be the last.
.
Warnings from Morrisons, Tesco, Sainsburys, M&S, ASDA, Waitrose KFC, MacD's are just the start. Prepare for a deluge if the worst case, a no deal, hard Brexit shoild occur.

Who can't explain why it is that although 70% of Labour MPs represent constituencies who voted to leave the EU... that majority of them are going against the democratic will of their electorate in trying to stop the UK leaving the EU...!!!???

It's you who can't handle democracy...!
The British people voted to leave the EU... 80% of voters voted for partys who had the manifesto promise to carry out the democratic decision of the referendum to leave the eu... the MPs in parliament voted for article 50 to be declared... and it is law that we leave on the 29th of March either with a deal on trade tariffs or on WTO trade tariff terms... and on top of that, 70% of Labour MPs in parliament represent constituencies who voted to leave the EU too!!!

Your vote should include a proper estimate as to how effective it will be collectively. If you are going to throw your vote away (ie, green party), do the most logical thing...vote for yourself instead.
When you vote for a candidate, you are giving your political self-determination away. If you are just going to piss it onto the ground, don't give it away.

Re: More Brexit woe.
Well, Nicko, when I cast my vote, ,I was 55/45 to remain. Simply because I didn't know enough about what leaving would REALLY mean, and the impact and effect Brexit would have on everyday people, jobs, big and small businesses, the banks, the NHS,farmers, fishermen, tariffs, movement of people, visa, the northern Irish border and any potential payments.
All we saw was Boris and Farage standing in front of a big red bus boasting how £350million would be diverted to the NHS.
Of course, that turned out to be a lie.
We were given woefully inadequate information to make a fully informed decision.
Bigots, racists and xenophobes clearly swayed some people, as did the right wing press via Dacre and and Murdoch
And after over 2 years of non negotiations, we are still no nearer knowing what the impact will be.
But, as my thread clearly shows, with hard evidence from the leading players it affects, Brexit is not going to be good.
Which is why I still think we should remain, but with joint party negotiators, re-evalue out position in the EU and negotiate a stronger position.
Which should have been Cameron's position before he called for e referendum, then run. As did Boris. As did Davis. As did Raab.

The government and the general political class have made a mess of the whole process. There should have been consultation and arguments about the deal before we started negotiations and then presented a united front, not this mish mash divided front.
I don't know about Andy but I say -no deal no pay.

Well there was a referendum and the people voted.
At least Theresa May had the guts to take on the job of trying to uphold the public vote, and she has stuck at it even though she has been stabbed in the back at every turn.
I wont vote for her or any Conservative come the next general election, and if Corbyn is still leader of the opposition I sure as hell wont vote Labour either.
What a mess this country is in at the moment.

We can leave on WTO rules and article 24 of that means we can have tariff free trade for another 2 years and even up to 10 years while we come to another arrangement on trade.
No paying 39 billion... no BACKSTOP...!!!
