Is that something that would qualify you for the 'Guinness Book of World Records'; and I'm being serious ...didn't know a MAN could be that ready at your age - NOT KNOCKING YOUR AGE IN ANY WAY either! LOL

I'm pleased that:
My vote counted
I'm not dead nor am I dying
My family are alive and well
My friends love me
My friend Lisa had her second round of chemo and is feeling better today
The world is a beautiful place
My own self will always be happy and content because I live and love in each moment, as its a gift.
I've learned to trust that the universe will provide exactly what I need.

Re: Say What Pleased You Today
Happy news about your friend Lisa Eddie.
The rest of your 'pleased' experiences are very valid too.
Odd how we can always be very specific about what annoys us...yet sometimes we take what pleases us for granted.
I am just happy today....after the rain the sun is shining and the birds are singing, going to have a nice glass of wine in a bit, and relax...small pleasures but nice ones.

hearing all those on the left demand that the london mayoral contest be rerun because khan only got 24% of londoners to vote for him.
OR does that rule only apply when they dont get their own way.

Oh do give it up you silly woman, I'm talking about the facts that you have been lied to, the things you thought you were going to get ain't gonna happen, the UK is going to split, there will be another recession and this country is gonna go down the drain - fast. Live with it, you caused it. I'm sure you won't be very happy that the leave campaign are now saying immigration won't drop either. Poor you.

Re: Say What Pleased You Today
Well now...what did I expect on voting out....
well, actually ....not a lot...merely that we would be "out" of the worst organised, worst organisation in the entire world..(except perhaps ISIS)
ANYTHING else is now the problem for OUR SOVEREIGN govt to sort...at the behest of the people of BRITAIN...not france germany or lithuania. we now have the choice to either endorse or evict a govt that fails in that task....
Now sassy you are crying about the talk of this and that....
so lets have a labour govt ....THAT IS CREDIBLE not led by that disheveled heap you have at the moment..with the charisma of a week old lump of cheese and the leadership ability of a headless chicken....
lets have one that stands up proudly and says THIS IS WHAT WE ARE GOING TO DO....
not sits mumbling in a corner waiting for people to "seek it out" like some far eastern mystic in a trance....
you said to me I hadnt read enough...too right...becasue there is NOTHING to read...unless I spend time "seeking it out"
where is the manifesto, pushed into the eager sweaty hands of the baying hounds of the press....
where is the infrormation ...except on labours website....(and lets face it who is going there.....)
they should be "out there rammining this in peoples faces, shouting it from the rooftops...
they should be beating the tories up (verbally) for their failures on a regualr and LOUD basis
but no....whimper mumble mutter.....is what we get....
you know what you need sassy...you need a few more Skinners....people with REAL conviction
a few more Benns...
and less wierdo's

Oh, certainly ...I'd not loaded up my 5 cd unit in such a long time and had that going pretty loud for my small bungalow.
But this place was 'rock'n' and I could still hear it above my carpet shampooer.

I find it hard to chuck stuff or give it away, but I'm on a mission at the moment, which I hope will continue.
I agree that decluttering is good for the soul - clutter and too much stuff weighs you down, even if it's hidden away somewhere.

I will bet you though, that in about three months you'll say "Where's that so and so?"
And you'll look.
And you'll look.
And you'll think "Oh shit. I threw it away....."
Happens to me frequently. It's normally a belt or scarf or bag, and even silver.
My favourite niece comes round and I give it all to her cos she's so lovely. Pfffff.

Re: Say What Pleased You Today
Shredding old documents: mom's stacks of back statements/old utility bills/correspondence/Medicare bills/misc. medical bills - bless her heart she hung on to crap from back when my father was alive and he died in 1981.
And I'm recycling those wonderful bags of 'criss-cross' cut shredded papers for my hens nesting material; they are very fond of those white - fluffy pieces of paper. I used to make a fire in my open fire pit outside and burn them, but that's far to hot out there and I don't like adding to the air pollution issues when shredding those pages and repurposing them into nesting material will work. I've got 2 more paper boxes yet to go and I'll be done with cleaning out mom's bedroom.

Took Dad out for a meal in a nice place that overlooks the beach, does great fish and chips, we then wheeled him down on the prom, the sun was shining, we had a great big ice cream each (Benny had a Mr Whippy in a paper cup lol, dogs like ice cream too) came home, got through the door and the rain came down in buckets, but we were inside and dry, it didn't get us today lol

Yooooo Hoooty ...perfect day - perfect timing and Benny got ice cream too! SUPER-DUPER all the way around.sassy wrote:Took Dad out for a meal in a nice place that overlooks the beach, does great fish and chips, we then wheeled him down on the prom, the sun was shining, we had a great big ice cream each (Benny had a Mr Whippy in a paper cup lol, dogs like ice cream too) came home, got through the door and the rain came down in buckets, but we were inside and dry, it didn't get us today lol
I went out early, was trying to get my chicken chores completed while it was cool; the widowed neighbor guy must have been waiting for me to make an appearance ...he walked over with a handful of letters - 2 cell phones and desperation written all over his face. I tried to explain that I would need to just come over - later, like after lunch and we'd go through all of that and I'd reset both cell phones for him and find those cliff-note instructions or re-write them so he'd know what to do if he got messed up AGAIN. I do so wish he'd go get at least 1 hearing aid from the VA; but he's being sooooo stubborn about that issue.
But just as he was heading home the thunder & wind was rolling in rapidly and I just made it inside and the flood gates opened up --- MONSOON rain fall. UGH

What you need is a cloak in invisibility so you can get your chores done when you want to do them without being grabbed by those that want help. Now I suppose you are going to have to do them while it hot!
