Not today....tonight.
Took grandsons (who is away at uni) younger brother out for a meal. We had a laugh. He is 16, at that age!! but we had such a lovely time even though he only ate garlic bread and drank cokes.

I went to the hairdressers and received a really nice head massage, my daughter made me howl with laughter and I made a cracking slag Bol (x2 one with meat and one without)

Quorn mince and lentils.
I make all spag Bol, meat or otherwise with grated carrot, celery, peppers, onion, mushrooms, loads of herbs, garlic, a dash of ketchup, and for the meat version, pancetta.

He came about 30 minutes ago and another one of our little bratz has passed the entrance exam to go to Warwick School.
We are over the moon as the school has a fabbo reputation.
2 down 1 to go.
We told him if he passes we will give him a bonus, I bet he has not forgotten that.
Well done to him Stormee. It's a big step getting into the school of choice, especially if it's a good school and places are short.

OH visits his mum on Saturdays so I do all the housework.
It's a satisfying feeling when all the jobs you meant to do during the week get done.
Not exciting.....but necessary.

I finished all my ironing today
Hate that job and always put it off.
Satisfying but boring
Ps I did leave a pair of shorts in there and an old white t shirt that is so creased it's beyond ironing

Walking the dog, encountered four trailers full of cattle parked (ironically enough) behind a popular hamburger joint ... they're here to be shown in the stock show, not to go on buns (at least not quite yet). It was funny to watch my dog's fascination with the cattle ...
Found out I'm getting my IRS tax refund of close to $1500 on Wednesday.

Dogs, like bears, live by their noses. Imagine the detail, not to mention the beauty your dog was experiencing around four trailers of beef. Lol...it would be as if we took in a show of impressionist art or a museum of Asian artifacts. Such fun...

You got no chance. @edie Ben is sending me a ticket to go and see him and all my friends who live that way.
I woke up, that made me happy. Plus my dog had a good run after days of not being able to due to the weather and life. Nothing nicer than a happy smiling doggy hound.

You can ask Jane, I can top that. I had a day about a month ago where my car broke down twice, the second time on a packed freeway, after I'd paid $700 to get it fixed. I forgot my debit card at the shop and the guy wouldn't meet me there long enough to open the damn door ... then I locked my keys in the car and had to pay over $100 to get someone to come out (took over an hour) to let me back in -- and I had to convince him to accept a check.
I would write a country song about it, but I didn't find out my girlfriend was cheating on me, I didn't go to jail, I didn't get drunk or fall off the barstool, and my mama didn't die, so it wouldn't really work

A single red rose is so romantic.
When we were out OH mentioned flowers ...I said "I have a vase full that are still OK"...so he walked past them and I got none.
He is taking me out for a special late lunch though...so I forgive him.

It was friendly. He was giving me advice as a newby, a couple of decades ago.
It's true. Some lawyers can't stop talking and end up arguing or admitting something adverse to their case. You've just got to figure out what to leave alone.

Had a lovely day in York with grandson.
Did the shops (I love the shopping in York) then went for a nice meal.
I think you could eat in a different place every day for months before you had to eat in the same place twice. There are so many pretty places to eat and drink there.

Yep and most of us know, that what "know what to leave alone" translates as is "I simply cannot argue that one properly"
Most of us are very familiar with "lawyer speak" Quill.

Getting any amount of sleep without taking meds for the first time in a good four to five years has had me feeling good all day
Re: Say What Pleased You Today
Happy to read that Ben's getting back into the REM sleep pattern; obtaining good sleep habits are harder then learning those really bad ones.
Pleased with my 2 flocks of hens; egg production {due to this warm spell} has shot back up and I'm calling egg customers to STOP BY! Running out of room in my refrig from all of their abundant production.

Indeed...and I raised my Brown Egg Price up .50¢ last year to $2.00 a/doz and lost a couple of customers; but they soon started calling - when their eggs were costing them $3.75 a/doz at the local grocery store. If the price of my chicken feed keeps going up {due to drought conditions} I'll be adjusting my price yet again --- it's gotta help pay for my hens up keep or into the frying pan they'll start going -
One-by-one!

Ben, went to bed at 10.30pm totally knackered
Woke at 1.43 am wide awake! Lay in bed, brain working overtime and pain in back and stomach.
Pissed off, got up at 3.30, let cats out, made cup of tea and sat down with laptop, switch on and look at NEWSFIX.
