Animated BLOOMING DELIGHT...
Just a little thunder - just a little lightening - gentle rain all night long
it's still raining! No flooding in my area; but Wichita got it BAD, and
north of me is still getting hit ...flooding on those last days of school -
last days of fun and field days outside

The track listing is on here. It's not stuff I already know, apart from a couple of tracks.
Horatio will probably like the second one as it features Northern Soul dancing girl, Levanna.

I see it on the News and think of you, 4EVA. The whole system is just busting northwards, bending right and heading toward the northeast.

Cheers rags, I had a quick blast of each track on Amazon - like the Weller one particularly, from what I heard.
There's a cover of kylies "can't get you outta my head" on there.

What flashed into my mind was Marianne Faithfull singing "just a little rain" i know youl'l think i,m daft but that,s what happened. Have you heard it?

No, not daft at all; but another ole' auzzie buddy and his wife {both in their late 80's} had this vocalist on their 'Favorite Play' play list. But TY, I knew I had seen her name before but that conversation had been about 10yrs ago.

I started back full time, 2 days at HQ and 3 days at my branch. 2 more Saturdays and then I will be monday-Friday!!!
Also one of my 2 days will be doing housebound delivery and learning to be back up bookmobile driver. Totally psyched, exhausted today bit a very happy exhausted. Plus as per agreement with Mr. C I will be getting a cleaner again. Happy happy happy Cass
Super. Congrats Cass.
Cheers. I was terribly worried that there were going to cut out the bookmobile and housebound services due to budget cuts. I would have been super upset both as a employee and a tax payer. I'm lucky to get the 15 hours because they had had a hard hiring freeze but the hours were held in reserve. My branch book budget though is taking a hit of $200 less per every 2 months. Bummer. Still I have a job that I love and I am VERY grateful and thankful too that I am still operating the branch. Others in different counties, cities and states and indeed the UK have not been so lucky.

I'm so happy that you've skated through and have been able to hang on. There are so many in my surrounding area that have just closed up their small rural libraries to volunteer staff - catch as catch can - warm bodies to help keep the places open at least maybe 2 days a week. And for so many poor rural families this was their media/entertainment: shelves filled CD's for free to view an return, besides the books that took you on adventures within our minds.
Congrats - it's so rare to find a passion - to be able to work at that passion - to call it our JOB.

Pipe behind toilet cracked on Monday ....could not get a plumber till Tuesday (yesterday) to come...he came, did that sucking through his teeth thing they do whilst commenting that it was a fairly big job because obviously the people who installed the bathroom did a bad job (even though it's served us well for about 12 years).
Said he would come back today ...(2 days using a toilet with a cracked pipe below the u bend and all that entails is no fun)
Anyway he turned up first thing... had the appropriate parts and has just fixed it at a cost of £110....which I thought was pretty reasonable.

WOW, glad that you got that all fixed up quickly; not like you can pop out back to the ole' out house when the indoor plumbing is not working right!
I'm so pleased that with all of the 'MEGA' monsoon storms last night I've been able to stay ahead of the seeping storm water into my basement and my water heater & my furnace are still safe & dry. But OMG, I AM SO TIRED.

Widowed neighbor has totally F'd up his phone system by having all his phones shut off/disconnected/defunct ...at least the little trickle of water in his basement {he'd forgotten to check on} hasn't grown into an aquarium and now he'll keep an eye on it - or not. But I let him use my cell phone to contact all 4 of his children to check in since they were in near panic mode with his phones messed up.
He wants to stay in his rental house so badly ...but he's sure not doing to well memory wise
But the rains have stopped for 'NOW' and it's power nap time for me.

Well, I had to write an explanation into what was obviously overlooked into that 'Affluenza' topic I'd pulled up from 2014
Good Grief --- why I 'ASSume' that the better - educated among us actually do read the complete articles and dates and follow the flow of the discussion and current events - well, I'm really disgusted that yet AGAIN a topic wound up turning into an attack about nothing because people can't read the shit that they need to grasp before going off ½ cocked. You didn't deserve what got served to you Eddie and I wasn't any part of that BS.

Sorry, that was the first part of something my dad used to say. "Everyone has the ability to make everyone they know happy -- either by coming into the room ... or by leaving the room."

Ohhhhh, that thought made my mouth water: gut them, season them - roll them up in foil, with just a spritz of oil or spray buttery something and set them onto the outer edge of a smoky camp fire - while frying some tater's with some onions in a cast iron skillet.
Peel that foil back and that skin will just fall off of that smoked trout; don't uncover that head if your squeamish ---
BUT, OMG...THAT IS SOME GREAT EATING RIGHT THERE!

Doing my morning meditations with the sun rising out of the East ~
SUN SHINE rejuvenates the SOUL ...and after 8+ days overcast and
rain!
Your post, Cass ...brought back a memory:
that lovely smell that a library has - the pencil box of school supplies - old treasured book - and Grandmother used to have the furniture polish called 'Ole' English'
and it was a dark red color. I think she bought it from the Fuller Brush Salesman.
He was one of those 'door-to-door' people that supplied the rural farm people
what the town people could buy. That bottle cleaned/covered scratches and smelled
very lovely but was pretty oily so table surfaces had to be buffed to make them
them shine - 'elbow grease' is what grandma kept telling us -
'use more elbow grease'

If you can, try to spend a day or a weekend there when you can Eddie, it's such a lovely quaint place. Apart from the sightseeing, and the fabulous York Minster which is breath taking, the place is crammed with great shops, cafe's, and restaurants...oh, and a million students, which makes it all the more lively.

Thanks Syl, really going to miss them moving away. Hopefully though they will be able to come and spend weekends with their Mum as well, as there is plenty of space and they love to see my Dad. Eldest grandaughter came over last Friday, but I was at my Dads, but Benny our lab, who was originally hers, was thrilled to bits!

It's a beautiful month HT, have noticed how fast the countryside has been 'greening up' and coming into bloom over the last few weeks of going backwards and forwards to Norfolk. Five weeks ago, barely a bud, now beautiful.

I went to my mums church (Unitarian) as she was leading the service and playing the Organ. Tomorrow is the US equivalent of Rememberance Day so it was a bit solemn but she did a great job.
And then I took a loooooonnnnngggg nap. I had a great massage yesterday - first in a year - and it has made me sleepy. Fabulous. Off to make stuffed shells for dinner since junior requested them.
Hope everyone has a good day tomorrow x
