First topic message reminder :

Racism now seems to be escalating, with the help of idiots in the like of the BNP, EDL and UKIP, I would like to propose an idea (and I'm expecting some very negative comments in support of racists) as to how anyone who has committed a racially hateful crime should be punished...

And that is to have the word ' Racist' tattooed onto their forehead by the government.

Some will say..oh they won't get a job with that on their head , well they should have thought about that beforehand, and I'm sure not getting a job would suit their ilk to the core...and who in the right mind would want to employ these idiots anyway?

I'm actually expecting a majority ' no' vote on this, given the amount who have flitted from Flop, but I'll go for it anyway...

Racism has no place in society, and I'll bet some are happy with the anonymity of the voting system
Others no doubt will ' stand their ground or watch their wording' in support of racism.

That's my opinion on this subject.... Racists are just ignorant cowards, I voted yes since it would be funny. but I don't think it is needed the real bad racists like smelly cant help but make themselves obvious (and are generally disliked amongst civilised company) and the a lot of the others are true cowards and will meekly follow the socially acceptable standard, so the good people just need to raise the standard. And weed out the hate filled people like smelly.       

The trouble is Veya....the term "racist" over here has been misappropriated by the "progressives" and is used as a stick to silence ALL dissent to EVERY policy they have...

To the "progressive" you are racist for having only white bog paper, but you are a racist for USING coloured bog paper.

Yes but your op was about racists......as regards rapists or child molesters - there is not one person here or IRL who wouldn't want to see them suffer...but that is by the by....what you want to do is exactly what others did to people who didn't meet their standards, its a very slippery slope.

Have to say, I'd be against the idea. For one thing, they'd just use it as a way to make martyrs of themselves -- you already see a lot of that, people whining about being denied their freedom to hate.

I would far prefer that if someone's racist they at least be upfront about it, though -- "I think white people are superior," "I think black people are superior," or whatever. At least they're not cowards, even if they are too stupid to live.

It's kind of like when Mitt Romney was secretly recorded as saying that half of Americans have a victim mentality and think the government should give them everything. It was actually the only time I had a shred of respect for the man because for once, he actually had the guts to say what he believes.

I always try to keep in mind that people who advocate for horrible punishments for murderers are motivated by the injustice. I might not agree with what they recommend, but I understand where their ideas come from.

Completely agree, one of the most appalling aspects of the holocaust was the marking of groups classed as subhuman by the Nazi's and at the end of the day a person has a right to be racist, as much as I disagree with it. Laws protect people from racial abuse anyway and you can easily tell a racist by their views whether they feel some ethnic group is inferior.

So poor Thread this to be honest as it sends the wrong message and actually is showing racists as victims, by marking them, the last thing they should be classed as.
