Terror police boost MP's security after she is accused of racism by activists for condemning the grooming of girls by Asian sex gangs

An MP has been given heightened security measures after receiving death threats for condemning the grooming of girls by Asian sex gangs. it was reported. Sarah Champion, Labour MP for Rotherham, was accused by activists of ‘industrial-scale racism’ for highlighting the ‘common ethnic heritage’ of those involved in the town’s sexual abuse scandal.

The former shadow minister for Women and Equalities hit the headlines when she spoke out after 17 men from Asian backgrounds were convicted of or admitted offences in a series of trials related to child sexual exploitation.

She warned people were failing to tell the truth about child abuse because they were afraid of being called racist.

She also said it was ‘predominantly Pakistani men’ involved in such cases ‘time and time again’.

Miss Champion followed up her comments with a column in the Sun, headlined: ‘British Pakistani men ARE raping and exploiting white girls - it’s time we faced up to it.’

She added: ‘Britain has a problem with British Pakistani men raping and exploiting white girls. There. I said it.’ The furore forced Miss Champion to resign from the shadow cabinet and since then she has received dozens of death threats.

I mean what next, are you going to blame the future partners, they should have asked them out earlier, because when not with them, they felt unloved?

no she's no longer traumatised didge she's grown amazingly strong.  but she admitted to me after she'd ditched him i think he was threatening all sorts and saying he was going to hurt her brothers and me and was blackmailing her about all the stuff she'd been up to so she confessed all to me one day out of the blue and we've been close ever since.

she said to me once about 6 months after she'd escaped him and I think he was back inside at the time  ''I may not know exactly the sort of bloke that I want in my life but at least I know for definite the sort that I DONT want''

but my point really was to ben and eddie to say that any girl can get caught up with a nasty manipulative control freak at any time for any reason.  and yes I get that some of these girls didn't have the best start but not all of them by any means were in care and they've made it sound like the parents are bad and dont give a shit which kinda hurts cos i've been in that situation

You do understand the difference and many such articles have been posted in regards to lone abusers. How about Jimmy Saville for example, another cover up story and that is the issue here, which you still seem unable to grasp. Its about the very fact this continued. When countless victims reported this and the Police, social services did nothing due to a fear of being cast racism. The council and social services tried also when this was coming oujt to cover this up.

So they were then able to continue for years abusing girls

In many cases of lone abusers are family members. There is no corrdinated view to also target racially or religiously. Some abusers groom online, but with the Pakistani gangs. Its coordinated, with a view to abuse Non-Muslim girls, based on religious beliefs

So do not worry Ben, lets just look at abuse as one thing and not the many different aspects to such crimes

I saw this as somehow a racist attack and stupidly as you have done thougout this debate. Done everything to deflect away from this terrible crime. I went off like you have about white offenders etc. Not facing the reality that this had and is being committed largely by one ethnic group.  That should be concerning to anyone, espcially when its evident they deliberately targetd White and Non-Muslim girls based on a religious and cultural belief.

Everyone here stands against child abuse, and have spoken out against this countless times. To try to join seperate types of child abuse and ignore the blatant fact this was also covered up for years. Means you simple do not want to face the actual reality of this particular problem.
