So, ingested a huge toxic, fast acting nerve agent, walked around Salisbury, went for lunch with a friend and then later collaped.
Brief description
The Novichok class of agents were reportedly developed in an attempt to circumvent the Chemical Weapons Treaty (chemical weapons are banned on the basis of chemical structure and therefore a new chemical agent is not subject to past treaties). They have reportedly been engineered to be undetectable by standard detection equipment and to defeat standard chemical protective gear. Like other nerve agents, the Novichok agents act by inhibiting the enzyme cholinesterase.
Forms
Novichok agents may be dispersed as an ultra-fine powder as opposed to a gas or a vapour.
Identifying characteristics
Novichok agents may consist of two separate ‘non-toxic’ components that, when mixed, become the active nerve agent. No further information is available.
Exposure
The main route of exposure is thought to be by inhalation, although absorption may also occur via skin or mucous membrane exposure.
Onset
Novichok is reported to be 5–8 times more lethal than VX nerve agent and effects are rapid, usually within 30 seconds to 2 minutes.

The daughter of Russian spy Sergei Skripal who was poisoned in the Salisbury nerve agent attack issued her longest statement yet on Wednesday night to make clear she does not want the help of the Russian Embassy, nor her cousin.
Yulia Skripal said she had been made aware of her country's offer of assistance but said that "at the moment I do not wish to avail myself of their services". She also said that if she were to change her mind, she would contact them.
It comes after the Russian Embassy suggested yesterday that the secret resettlement of Ms Skripal and her father upon his release from hospital would be seen as an "abduction".
Ms Skripal, 33, issued her response through Scotland Yard last night as she also revealed she is still suffering from the effects of the Novichok used on her and her father nearly six weeks ago, which at one point left them both critically ill.
She also thanked the staff at Salisbury District Hospital, where she was released from on Monday, for their "obvious clinical expertise" and for their "kindness".
She said: "I have left my father in their care, and he is still seriously ill. I too am still suffering with the effects of the nerve agent used against us.
"I find myself in a totally different life than the ordinary one I left just over a month ago, and I am seeking to come to terms with my prospects, whilst also recovering from this attack on me.
"I have specially trained officers available to me, who are helping to take care of me and to explain the investigative processes that are being undertaken. I have access to friends and family, and I have been made aware of my specific contacts at the Russian Embassy who have kindly offered me their assistance in any way they can. At the moment I do not wish to avail myself of their services, but, if I change my mind I know how to contact them.
"Most importantly, I am safe and feeling better as time goes by, but I am not yet strong enough to give a full interview to the media, as I one day hope to do. Until that time, I want to stress that no one speaks for me, or for my father, but ourselves."
She also distanced herself from comments made by her cousin Viktoria, who last week said she had been denied a visa to visit her family in the UK and expressed concern over their lack of contact. She also appeared to cast doubt over the British Government's version of events.
Yulia said: "I thank my cousin Viktoria for her concern for us, but ask that she does not visit me or try to contact me for the time being. Her opinions and assertions are not mine and they are not my father's." She also requested privacy "whilst I try to come to terms with my current situation".
Police have transfered her to a secret location after doctors said she and her father, 66, had responded “exceptionally well” to treatment. Col Skripal is also expected to be discharged soon.
The pair had been widely predicted to die after they were exposed to Novichok, which the British Government says came from the Russian military’s chemical weapons programme.
But the Russian state and its backers in the heavily controlled media have repeatedly questioned Britain’s account of events.

Boris Johnson has said the the Kremlin “must give answers” after an international watchdog confirmed that Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia were poisoned with a "high purity" strain of Novichok nerve agent in Salisbury.
The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons said that it had been able to “confirm” the findings of British scientists about the nerve agent.
It represents a significant boost to Theresa May, who has said that Russia was directly responsible for the attack. Mr Johnson said that only Russia has the “means, motive and record” to have carried out the attack.
He said: “We will now work tirelessly with our partners to help stamp out the grotesque use of weapons is this kind. The Kremlin must give answers. We must, as a world community, stand up for the rules based order which keeps us all safe. The use of weapons of this kind can never be justified, and must be ended.”
The OPCW conducted tests on blood samples from the Skripals and also an analysis on samples of the agent found in Salisbury.
The team also took samples from Detective Sergeant Nicholas Bailey, who was poisoned after coming into contact with the agent while assisting the Skripals.

Article says 'samples were tested'... were the team able to take these blood samples themselves from the 3 alleged victims...? Or were they given 'doctored' samples to test...?

Read back as to how it was deliberately engineered to be slow, so that the suspects could flee.
The nerve agent used to poison former Russian agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter was specially designed to take about four hours to kill them so their assassins could flee Britain.

HE HAGUE, Netherlands — 12 April 2018 — The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) transmitted yesterday to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UK) the report of the OPCW’s mission to provide requested technical assistance in regard to the Salisbury incident on 4 March 2018.
The results of the analysis by the OPCW designated laboratories of environmental and biomedical samples collected by the OPCW team confirm the findings of the United Kingdom relating to the identity of the toxic chemical that was used in Salisbury and severely injured three people.
The UK’s delegation to the OPCW requested that the Technical Secretariat share the report with all States Parties to the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) and to make the Executive Summary of the report publicly available.
The Director-General, Ambassador Ahmet Üzümcü, thanked the four OPCW designated laboratories that supported the technical assistance request for their swift and thorough analysis.
Background
The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland requested technical assistance from the OPCW Technical Secretariat, under subparagraph 38(e) of Article VIII of the Chemical Weapons Convention, in relation to an incident in Salisbury on 4 March 2018 involving a toxic chemical—allegedly a nerve agent—and the poisoning and hospitalisation of three individuals.
The OPCW team worked independently and is not involved in the national investigation by the UK authorities. No State Party was involved in the technical work carried out by the Technical Secretariat.
OPCW designated laboratories are a lynchpin of the Organisation’s verification regime and its capacity to investigate allegations of the use of chemical weapons. They must be able to perform off-site analysis of chemical samples collected by OPCW inspectors from chemical production facilities, storage depots and other installations, or from the site of an alleged use of chemical weapons. These laboratories offer the necessary assurance to our States Parties that chemical analyses needed to make determinations or to clarify issues occurring during OPCW deployments are carried out competently, impartially, and with unambiguous results.
As the implementing body for the Chemical Weapons Convention, the OPCW oversees the global endeavour to permanently and verifiably eliminate chemical weapons. Since the Convention’s entry into force in 1997 – and with its 192 States Parties – it is the most successful disarmament treaty eliminating an entire class of weapons of mass destruction.
Over ninety-six per cent of all chemical weapon stockpiles declared by possessor States have been destroyed under OPCW verification. For its extensive efforts in eliminating chemical weapons, the OPCW received the 2013 Nobel Prize for Peace.

The team was able to collect blood samples from the three affected individuals under full chain of custody for delivery to the OPCW Laboratory and subsequent analysis by OPCW designated laboratories, and conducted identification of the three individuals against official photo-ID documents.
5. The team was able to conduct on-site sampling of environmental samples under full chain of custody at sites identified as possible hot-spots of residual contamination. Samples were returned to the OPCW Laboratory for subsequent analysis by OPCW designated laboratories.
6. The team requested and received splits of samples taken by British authorities for delivery to the OPCW Laboratory in Rijswijk, the Netherlands, and subsequent analysis by OPCW designated laboratories. This was done for comparative purposes and to verify the analysis of the United Kingdom.

Or were the investigating team provided with these samples by one or more other 3rd partys, along with 'chain of custody' assurances of samples being genuine and untampered with...?

Where is it said anywhere that the investigating team actually drew the 3 blood samples themselves...?
From what I can see, the investigating team were not the ones who drew these blood samples directly from the alleged victims... but were handed the samples by others, with assurances of the samples being genuine and not tampered with...
Of course it would be impossible for anyone to arrange for 'doctored' samples to be handed over... wouldn't it...!!!???

Chain of custody means they didn't have to collect the samples themselves, that they were collected by someone who was trusted. Now you seem to be suggesting that English law enforcement has been badly compromised, so my question to you is this -- why are you so willing to shit all over the people who protect your country if they dare implicate Putin?

If the independent investigating team were allowed to draw their own blood samples (and hair samples) directly from the alleged victims, and then each of these samples were then securely carried by the team directly to their place of testing, and without any possible chance of samples being switched or tampered with... then I would be inclined to believe their resultant findings...!
However... their findings would still only show the presence, or not, of any poisons/agents/drugs in the samples of the alleged victims... it will not tell us how any of these substances came to be there, or who may have been involved...!

Just the same as having the independent investigating team being made to go away and test 'samples' that were given to them by UK authorities... is hardly an independent and credible process either, is it really...!?
However... if the independent investigating team were going away to test samples that they had themselves collected directly from each of the alleged victims... and these samples were transported directly from sources to testing site by only members of the team at all times, and in a way that was completely secure and impossible for samples to be tampered with in any way... then that would be credible as independent...!
