I will do with this thread what I do with Lurker's daily whinge - not even bother to open the thread, let alone read it.
I suppose such infantile garbage might be mildly amusing to those with challenged literary capabilities though.....

I like Larker's quick wit, and his highly insightful cartoons. There's more than one way to communicate, and they say a picture is worth a thousand words. Gd luck with this thread, too, Andy.
Methinks, what y'all over yonder on the RW don't like, is the sting in the ass. OUCH!

Yes she has! Post away Andy. We are all entitled to our views and if people don’t like it, then they don’t have to look.
I dislike Boris as much as I dislike Trump, but I’d have approved it even if I liked him because freedom of speech and all that.
Great memes btw!

Re: The Boris Johnson vent thread
Anybody can feel free to start a Jeremy Corbyn, Joe Biden, AOC, Elizabeth Warren vent thread. You can't have democracy without the fundamental individual right of freedom of speech.
Just FYI, the anti-spam rule was created here because of some people on my last forum who would literally make a thread about breakfast cereal into a political issue aimed at a particular politician. They were constantly derailing even the most innocuous threads into political fights, and I didn't want to have that happen here.

BTW, Andy, try to fit the memes to the posting parameters. When you pull down the 'insert image' tab, you will see two boxes to insert the size (width/height). Never use over 600 for width or you will run off the page.
And try to size it in proportion to the original image (to the right of the original page). Eg: If the original is 1800 x 1200, that would be 600 x 400 to fit our window. You too, Lurker.
Compare...the downsized version fits nicely.

It certainly appears that some people here believe freedom of speech is not for the left!
Re: The Boris Johnson vent thread
Indeed Ben. They could always start a Corbyn meme thread, but he has little controversial in the last 20 years to post about.

Idiot remoaners bleat on about wanting to re-nationalise the railways, and how they are against privatisation of public services etc... but are too stupid to know that EU rules prevent the re-nationalisation of the railways and that it is EU procurement rules that force large parts of public services to open up to be run by private companies!!!

Those three neo-fascists are only interested in "free speech" when the speaker is 100% in line with their own narrow agendas..
The very opposites of the true meaning of "free speech" and democratic discussions.

A clue to the attitude of certain of us to "free speech" lies in the second word of the phrase rather than in the daily spamming of a boringly repetitive diet of party political propaganda in the form of generally humourless pejorative cartoons. Personally, I would similarly ignore a so-called "vent thread" if it existed for no other purpose than the attempted character assassination of Jeremy Corbyn.
And nor do I need any lectures on free speech from some knuckle dragging Neanderthal from the Australian outback who would find The Beano intellectually challenging.
