Those three neo-fascists are only interested in "free speech" when the speaker is 100% in line with their own narrow agendas..
The very opposites of the true meaning of "free speech" and democratic discussions.
A clue to the attitude of certain of us to "free speech" lies in the second word of the phrase rather than in the daily spamming of a boringly repetitive diet of party political propaganda in the form of generally humourless pejorative cartoons. Personally, I would similarly ignore a so-called "vent thread" if it existed for no other purpose than the attempted character assassination of Jeremy Corbyn.
And nor do I need any lectures on free speech from some knuckle dragging Neanderthal from the Australian outback who would find The Beano intellectually challenging.
A wee bit of that ole' British chauvinism, is it? Well, after the EU gets through with you, your tone might be a bit more subdued. You'll be a nation of butlers, maids and waiters.
Maybe Australia would be willing to pass on some foreign aid.

Lowly, perhaps, though honest, decent and worthy occupations for residents of a soon-to-be free and independent nation.
And we might well feel inclined to heed the suggestion of the rebel plotter Dick in Shakespeare's Second Part of Henry V1: "The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers..."

It's not about the destination, it's about the journey. How did the UK get there?

I would have thought it pretty obvious that in order to reach a destination, one must first make a journey.
We got - or at least intend to get - there because we were given a democratic vote on whether we wished to leave the undemocratic EU. We voted "yes"; the political elite were horrified that the little people should seek to defy them and we have now had well over three years of infighting and impasse.
We have now entered the end game and I am far more optimistic about our future than you appear to be - or is it that you hope that we as a country will fail?

The British Isles, or at least Scotland, is my place of origin too. I don't wish anything bad for the UK. In fact, in the back of my mind I have always harbored the notion that Britain is not a part of Europe. It is a couple of islands off-shore. There should be that distinction.
But let's be practical, water always seeks, and finds it's own level. Let's also be sensible. If you are going to be an independent couple of islands, you are going to suffer a similar economic fate as other island nations, including, say, Fuji and the Bahamas.
I look around America (the great consumer) and I don't see a lot of British manufactures we want or need. I see Japanese, Korean, Taiwanese, German and some Italian things. The things we appear to be attracted to from the UK are textiles, luxury automobiles, and Spey River single-malt Whiskey. Scotland may well turn out to be the tail wagging your economic dog.
I'm pulling from you guys. I really am. But the objectivity in me says you are going to have to try a lot harder if you go it alone.

And? You try harder then the rewards are better. You try harder then you become stronger.
Change is often a good thing.

We are not 'going it alone'... we are just restoring control of our country to the british people through democracy.

.
Britain has over 66 million people...
Boris has 17.6 million supporters ???
That's less than 30% of the population, (and, less than 38% of potential 'eligible' voters..).
Last time I looked, 30% was still a minority..
You, Tommy and Freddie do have a somewhat strange notion of "democratic" 'majorities' !!!

Two. Cameron and May. Johnson is still there. (At least he was when I wrote this.)
Quill, 'ol boy, would you find "hilarious" a situation in which the electorate of the USA had made a clear decision on something on which they had been mandated to adjudicate, only to see it overruled and virtually declared null and void by their representatives in the Senate and the House of Representatives?
No, I thought not.
