Take a look at the 20 fastest-growing economies in the world -- all places which are rising out of poverty, in large thanks due to aid from the rest of the world:

Some other fun facts from the video:

* Norway, that socialist cesspool, spends about 3 percent of its federal budget on foreign aid.

The U.S. spends less than 1 percent.

* The development of these countries is good for all of us.

I'm sure they'll all remember how we have helped them when the tables are turned, right?

Yeah right! On the other hand, a lot of the third world countries that are doing well is because of foreign investment - in other words their goods are being promoted, and eventually exploited I've no doubt, by rich countries, particularly at the moment China.

Why wouldn't they, are they all inherently bad, selfish people? Are you perhaps projecting, Andy?

Perhaps he is thinking about the Sudan where billions of dollars in aid was sent and the country is now on the list of state sponsors of terrorism?

Between 1976 and 2006, Saudi developmental aid amounted to UK$49 billion, second only to the United States of America. The ODA/GNP ratio averaged 4.2% over this period, well above the highest amount provided by Development Assistance Committee countries (the DAC average is 0.35%).  On a per-capita basis, the country is the biggest worldwide donator though the aid has only been given to Muslim countries.

I think I can stand proud, that MY money may have saved some lives.

I don't expect my children will get anything back if we are in need in the future though.

Those on benefits, asylum seekers, refugees and those on NMW can not stand proud

Hey, I didn't know you have kids! How many, how old? Did you have their horns surgically removed, or do they just keep their hair long?
