We do teach that, it is also why traditional heroes are people like Ned Kelly, Captain Thunderbolt, and the miners of the Eureka Stockade. A.k.a people that fought against the British Colonial Authorities in Australia .

And also most of the non-convict early settlers returned to live in England once they had stolen enough to keep their pockets full, many had to give 'presents' to other English lords to be allowed back into 'good society' present entirely made of stolen wealth.
