I'm not dense - as you well know. You only say that because I don't toe the usual line on here. I'm just bored with all this "gay" stuff. People are people - why does something have to be "gay"? It's a song competition, or possibly a political competition, there's no need for it to be gay as well.
Oh come on rags I liked the first post on this thread - made me smile and feel happy for Ireland and all the repression to be over!
And yes, Eurovision has a huge gay following.
Sassy's post was nice and it made me smile.

Exactly Eds. Honestly I feel raggs all this on herself by instantly spitting negativity on what should have been a fun thread.
^Nems, I answered nicko's question, don't really see the need for the smart ass comment though when it comes to grouping up on posters you are more experienced than most ;-)

Re: Ireland's Gay Day
I feel glad for the non mafia screamer gays who can at last marry people of their gender. But this referendum & result could have come about years ago if the screamers hadn't put off the vote by attacking everyone who even dared to discuss the matter.......But that's the gay mafia for you......Putting back progress by years.
Food for thought......it's been rumoured for decades in the UK military that the majority of IRA bombers were selected because they were gay/lesbian.Apparently,they had no qualms about planting bombs & blowing people up.They carried out the attacks with a certain cold aptitude.
I don't know how true that is,but the rumour has been going around for a long time.Wonder if that had any effect on the referendum outcome? Surely not?

Incorrect, it certainly would not have come about years ago, because of who may held strict religious views, which have dramatically changed over the last couple of decades, showing ho you are also out of touch understanding the Irish people. As to your next claim, that should be very easy for you to prove based on convicted terrorists caught should it not?
Please let me have your evidence?

FFS, Eurovision has a huge following anyway - gay or not. I merely said it wasn't a gay thing, and I was told I was "dense".
Ireland wasn't even in the Eurovison final this year, so the connection was very tenuous.

Re: Ireland's Gay Day
Already posted reasons but basically, after the EU referendum stitch up it is entirely possible to have happened here too.
The rolling out of homosexual marriage is part of the 'agenda'.
Apart from NI, Ireland was the only country in western Europe not to allow it and under the EU this cannot be allowed to continue.
They know full well that if politicians in Ireland had tried to impose this then their would have been outrage about it... so what better than to hold a fixed referendum and make the people believe it was something that they voted for!?
Also the extremely high result itself for yes is clearly designed to now be able to claim that it was so conclusive and not needing another referendum on it... but also suspiciously too high a result to be believable...
I don't think that that many Irish would have voted yes at all!!!
I was expecting a no vote at least about 65/35%.
I mean just the way they were all claiming victory and celebrating before the votes were even being counted was reason enough to suspect the 'result' was already known... and there's only one way that could have been 'known' with such certainty...

Re: Ireland's Gay Day
So yet again Tommy provides no evidence a complete lack of understanding of the Irish people and keeps claiming an unfounded belief to this being a fix. The very fact you are often very wrong on view points and easily refuted countless times might provide you with a clue, that your views tend to be worth very little Tommy.
I really cannot stop laughing at such incredible paranoia.
So you believe it was a fix, you keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better.

WTF has it got to do with raggs and tommy anyhow....
and herein you see WHY i'm not a R/Wer either....
I find Tommys views positively dinosaurean

pathetic
instead of congratulating a huge step forward in the self awareness of a nation and its awarenes of its responsibility to ALL its citizens
they both would prefer the old repressive ideas of centuries ago.....
doubtless as a druide, (and thats NOT a typo) they would like me burned at the stake (which is what my fate would be given so called christian views) since as a druid I am, especially among wiccans, taken as a "leader witch".(wiccans "generally" consider druids to be "holy ones" or "wise ones")
all I can say is well done the people of RoI

Because of course... only one view is 'allowed'...
My views are not invalid because I don't subscribe to the view That homosexuality is equal to heterosexuality!!!
Two men are totally different to Two women and again totally different to a man and a woman as nature intended.
Surely being a druid darkness, you would appreciate this more than anyone...
"within Druidry, Nature is considered to be unconditionally
sacred and an expression or manifestation of deity and divinity".
You cannot support thirtap well as supporting unnatural human coupling that is totally against the way nature intended!

Re: Ireland's Gay Day
Now there is a self defeating argument by Tommy if I ever saw one because its is mi-skewed again to play off Victors beliefs making an unfounded claim it would conflict based on defining natural.
If other animals occur naturally in nature with homosexual copulation then it stands to reasons this would naturally occur in humans also, just another animal that has homosexuality.
Love is certainly natural to all humans, so how can two men who are in love be unnatural when love is natural? Love is universal to everything and is a natural part of humans, so homosexual love would be very natural.
Clearly this concept would be very much in Victors beliefs as right and natural.

except that you speak of which you have no understanding. you firstly are wrong in your assumption that "nature" intends anything
IF its possible then its allowable (provided that it harms no other and is consented to by those involved ....(and that is man made law, because as humans we can at times overide nature)
You secondly assume that LGBT relationships are less sacred than "straight" ones...you are again wrong
thirdly yu have NO basis of support for your claim that lgbt relationships are "unnatural"
the pagans have long accepted LGBT in their ranks...long before it was even decriminalised here.....recognising that LOVE between two people was greater than who or what they are.
so dont try to justify your insane kind of bigotry using a couple of random lines that are merely a general view of the world (and thus not definative) from our beliefs, it wont wash....
YOU might not subscribe to this view...that does NOT make you right or validate your point of view
the fact that SOCIETY in general is moving away from the POV that you hold indicates that your point of view in fact is no longer valid.....
(since it is only society and nothing else ...not nature not god not anything....... that makes judgement on this )

So after Victor annihilated your poor views, you now are desperate to attempt to draw me into your own ignorance here? Sorry, but you have no leg to stand on. I will certainly question religious views when they teach inequality and discrimination, as they are views formed that do not have to be followed. Just as you would be critical of many aspects of Islam, of which I am too, so I am of many faiths. It does not mean I would deny them equality, far from it but shows how their faith in fact denies equality. All I am doing is trying to reason of which there is no harm in that. As again a person of pure faith does not doubt and would not be offended if challenged, they would actually rise to the challenge.
Love is natural, as Victor rightly stated as I did and where he excelled over me is that he rightly pointed out it is we as humans that judge, nothing else and hence why you are allowing yourself to be left behind with the rest of society. That is your own choosing.

Re: Ireland's Gay Day
Homosexuality is an evolutionary paradox in search for a resolution, not a medical condition in search for a cure. Homosexual behavior is common among social animals, and mainly expressed within the context of a bisexual sexual orientation. Exclusive homosexuality is less common, but not unique to humans. Poiani and Dixson invite the reader to embark on a journey through the evolutionary, biological, psychological and sociological aspects of homosexuality, seeking an understanding of both the proximate and evolutionary causes of homosexual behavior and orientation in humans, other mammals and birds. The authors also provide a synthesis of what we know about homosexuality into a biosocial model that links recent advances in reproductive skew theory and various selection mechanisms to produce a comprehensive framework that will be useful for anyone teaching or planning future research in this field.
Detailed analysis of the social and biological basis of homosexuality, providing a multidisciplinary approach
Provides an evolutionary perspective, showing similarities and differences with behaviours in other taxa, integrated into a comprehensive evolutionary framework
Discusses the issue in advanced detail including genetics, immunology and neuroendocrinology, providing a sound basis to the discussions

Re: Ireland's Gay Day
In "slip-and-slide" orgies, groups of male grey whales, one of the oldest species of mammals, roll in the ocean rubbing their bellies against each other so that their genitals are touching.[19][20]
