For some reason:

At this point, who isn't working on a home video game console?

The latest tech company tied to development of a video game console is online retailing giant Amazon. According to Game Informer, the company is working on an Android-based console launching by the end of the year. The report cites sources with "knowledge of the in-development hardware."

An Amazon spokesman told Game Informer the company would not comment on rumors or speculation.

My son had a Playstation, Playstation 2 and now an Xbox360 and the games look great but they are just too damn hard for me. I'd love to drive around Miami in a fast car or shoot aliens but the game makers never put in a complete novice or in my case an old fart level.

I agree. I've not tried a game console (since Commodore), and I have no interest in ever trying one. I have no interest in smart TVs either. I'm dreading having to use Windows 8 with all the bloated touch screen crap. I know you can turn it off, but it should come turned off by default. You turn it on if you need it. That's the way it should work. Like prisons; it should be time on for bad behavior and not time off for good behavior. Everything is backwards in this stupid world.
