Yeah! 'Cause if you think about it, buying a new console now would be like buying a digital point-and-shoot camera when your smartphone already has one. The only exception I can think of is that most of the consumer-level PCs being sold don't really come with great graphics cards.

there are still a number that do come with decent graphics cards. not sure what its like in the US but here you can get really good value mid range gaming towers from independant Computer stores (generally assembled in store) their designed to be HDMI compatable and just connect up to Your TV and will play any game at max graphics (for atleast 18 months after purchase) most will cost a bit more than a console but $1000 will get you pretty high end for Normal gamers(assuming your not playing on 3 screens, etc)
