Smelly bandit has been banned
First topic message reminder :
I took the decision to ban smelly bandit as there were no other mods or admin online and I wanted to out an end to any further trouble whilst also making an example of a poster who felt it was ok to post an absolutely horrific personal attack on another.
I take full responsibly and no doubt the backlash for any drama that now follows, ie being accused of hating RW's and loving LW's.
I don't care. It was the quickest way to diffuse a boiling pot of crap.
Ben will take the decision to lift the ban or extend it; it currently sits at a two-day suspension.
The offending post sits in a thread that has been moved to an admin section T the request of sassy - the poster who was attacked.
I personally do not think this site should tolerate that level of abuse.
I hope posters agree with me.

Yes, I was thinking that too. Actually, in America biscuits are dinner rolls...those warm things that you slather with butter and eat twixt bites of steak & pepper pie. Only recently has the term been used for dog treats.

Yes, but you know the southern high-calorie diets.
Those biscuits are going to get a white gravy poured over them, with bits of sausage and all. Heavy...heavy.

Yes, those breakfasts are best for people who do physical labor all day and can actually metabolize all that

I've read enough Stephen King novels to know that biscuits are rolls in America.
But what's with maple syrup and sausages together?

Was offered waffles, eggs and bacon with maple syrup in Santa Cruz, nearly threw up. Nothing wrong with sweet and savoury but balanced, not just smothered in syrup!

Yeah, nix the eggs. But the waffles and bacon with syrup...nice.

Donno...they are beginning to put potatoes in sandwiches here, now. It's almost too much starch.
Back when they would put hash browns in breakfast burritos around here, I just thought they were using the potatoes as filler.

In Liverpool a dockers dinner is a whole unsliced white loaf. You take out the inside and fill it with chips.

Potatoes and bread...that's starch on starch. Wow! It'd be like melting butter in bacon grease, cooking a goose and then pouring Ranch Dressing over the whole thing.
I do lov potatoes, particularly fried. But I want them on the side where I can control the portions.
Look at the economics...potatoes are the cheapest ingredient in any dish. So the restaurants load up on potatoes in a recipe, and cheap the more expensive stuff. That's called filler. I'd rather have the bacon, eggs, waffles, whatever, on my plate...and the toast, biscuits, potatoes--the filler stuff--on the side so I can see, and take only what I need.

If I eat too much bread I feel really bloated and it kind of sits in my upper stomach.
I do love the stuff but it isn't at all beneficial to health. There's nothing good in it and most bread contains about two spoonfuls of sugar per slice!!
