Boris Johnson to announce a return to Parliament in July
At least that's the rumour.
London mayor Boris Johnson is “virtually certain” to announce a return to Parliament within weeks, it has been claimed.
Sources have told The Sun of the leadership hopeful’s plans to reveal his hand in the Summer — to avoid overshadowing the final Tory conference before the general election:

Re: Boris Johnson to announce a return to Parliament in July
.....On London news today, they said that he could be mayor of London, and in practice, become an MP and have two jobs!
How can you be mayor of London, that is a big enough job anyway...Then he would be having to serve his constituents, in any safe seat that he was given....and would probably win.
It would be a dereliction of his duties towards London, if he had the gaul to go for a safe Tory seat and become an MP.

" So, could Boris become an MP in 2015 and stay on as mayor until 2016 (when his second term expires)? There is no constitutional obstacle to him doing so. Indeed, there is a precedent. After the 2000 mayoral election, Ken Livingstone remained the MP for Brent East until 2001."

I don't think that David would take things lightly!.....With Boris as an MP, he'd have to be looking constantly over his shoulder!
Oh goody!.....More Tory infighting, and who would be the stalking horse against Cameron?
