First topic message reminder :

I think we might have done this before, a long time ago, but it'd be interesting to hear some of the newer member's name origins.

Right now I'm going with a goof name, but I think I've said before that Ben Reilly was the name of the clone of Peter Parker (Spider-Man) who became a superhero called Scarlet Spider.

I've always wondered about some of the names -- particularly where veya_victaous comes from Smile

I just thought it was a fun action movie. Nothing really more. Besides it's original enough. I haven't had any problem getting this as a user name anyplace else.

not knocking your name, Crouching tiger Hidden Dragon was a fun action film, which the director filled with Hong Kong tropes. the older women is the biggest female martial arts star of all time

Just for clarity when I said original enough name I meant that by adding the 'd' to jade I didn't have competition for user names. Jade Fox I never tried but I suspect there were a lot of those at the time. I watched a lot of the older martial arts movies so I'm familiar with the tropes. Heck a lot of them are also present in the anime I watch. For me the big thrill was getting the full experience with a big screen, surround sound, annoying brats behind me complaining about subtitles... I could have done without that last thing but other than that I had a good time.
