IS THERE ANY WAY WE CAN ALL GET ALONG AND LEAVE THE PAST BEHIND US ?

First topic message reminder :

Hi all ,

I have known a few of you on here for a few years now and i have argued with most at some point, I just wonder can we all put the past behind us and get along , life is too short to keep bickering and it really isn't good for any of us , unless of course you enjoy a good argument lol

I just think about how nice it would be without the threads being full of us all calling each other names and swearing at each other.

We are all people from different back grounds and some different religions ,but we are all living on the same planet and is it really worth all the arguments we might not be here tomorrow we don't know what is around the corner not wanting to sound gloomy , but we don't know and i for one just want to be happy .

I realized how wonderful life is today when my gorgeous little grandson walked in during tea time, my heart filled with love for him and i thought myself , wow life is so good .

He did not, and we've been over this before -- the issue is settled, even though I understand that VOD and GIG are still upset. But if you looked up the thread in question, you can see exactly what prompted it.

To summarize, GIG had posted about alternative cancer cures and said that chemotherapy never works and just kills cancer patients, suggesting that no cancer patient should go on chemo but instead embrace quack treatments like sodium bicarbonate, and Veya suggested that he should get cancer and die if he supports people with deadly diseases not being treated for them. Was it harsh, yes, but it did not break a single rule of this forum.

By the way, either VOD or GIG wished cancer and death on me for not removing the comment. I don't see you bringing that up.

Does it matter if it's against the rules or not? It was a horrible thing to say, especially by a mod. I don't think it should just be about "rules", it should be about common decency too.

Well of course it is. Some people genuinely believe that traditional drugs for cancer don't work, or have side effects which outweigh the benefits, or that alternative medicine is better. There's nothing malicious about that, but there is something malicious about someone saying they hope they die of cancer.

Yeah, I did. And every day I also leave up posts here where people say that gay people are abnormal, that Muslims are hideous bloodthirsty creatures, that people on benefits are scroungers, that people on the left are like Stalin, etc.

This is an internet forum, run by Admin as he sees fit, who recruits Mods of his choosing, and by the rules he decides. And until he starts charging us for logging on here then I disagree with you. If any of us don't like it, or disagree with his decisions then we are free to leave at any time, we are not being held captive here.
