Grand National NewsFix Draw
First topic message reminder :
The Grand National is this Saturday and members here can enter by picking a number between 1 to 44 and you will be allocated the horse with that number. The numbers for each horse has been made up at random and to avoid any cheating the list of runners with the numbers has been lodged with the moderators.
It’s just a bit of fun and there will be a mystery prize for the member who picks the winner.
So make your choice

I don't think, that even with the best insight, you can ever pick the top three!...I's just a game of chance!
....Loving this horse at the moments though, as the free £20 online bet went on a rank outsider, and the other bet went on a door number, where i grew up, that had a fucking ghost in it!
Did not say I can pick the top 3 - I said (for the Grand National) I will pick 5/6 and consistently make profit - ie the amount I get back is more than the amount I paid even allowing for the fact not all my horses are in the top 4 or 5 (sometimes bookies pay out 5 places for the National)
In the past 11 or 12 years the only year I made a loss on the National the year Mon Mome won it - and that really was a fluke result across all the places.
Incidentally the professional gamblers who make their living doing nothing except backing horses (and there are several who have made millions doing so) expect to have one winner for every 3 horses they back, however they spend hours looking at nothing but figures and some very rarely go racing at all and certainly not for pleasure. It is certainly not a game of chance any more than poker is - people can and do make a living from it if they are prepared to work hard.

The Irish love the Cheltenham festival as st' Paddy's day usually lands sometime during the festival and a good time is had by all.

No Phil. It is still a case that interests me though, I read forums now rather than post on it.

Oh...Come on, you lot, turned UK news Sky forums into nothing but the search for fucking Maddie, whilst ignoring all of the other kids, that had gone missing.
The McCanns, were well to do.
....You even set up separate forums etc...Just over that one case.
....You just used Maddie as a vehicle, to set up girly cliques. ::zomb:: ::zomb:: ::zomb::

Yep. JD drew the winner so well done to him.
It was just a fun thread and a bit disappointing that the take up of the numbers was as low as it was but there you go - not everyone likes a bit of fun or a bit of banter or maybe they're just not interested in the Grand National.
Maybe I should do a sweepstake for the Boat Race tomorrow where it's sure to be fully subscribed.

We never set up forums for the maddie case actually. Some of us joined them after Sky closed. We made friends through sky yes. Not just girls, men too.
The maddie case never gets mentioned now, .. I do still read forums as I said because I am interested in the case. So shoot me for it!

....Sky UK forum news, was taken up my the Maddie case, and not much else, was allowed to be debated!
...It was a disgusting state of affairs, which is why most escaped the gaggle of witches, to the politics forum, as you were all using that poor girls name, to garner your bloody girly friendships!!!!

Dumber you mean - the lefties outnumber the rest on here by about ten to one, so the odds on them winning were pretty stacked!Handy Andy wrote:Conclusive proof that lefties are wiser, luckier or both, than rw'erss.Catman wrote:1 JD

Re: Grand National NewsFix Draw
Hey , thanks for the kind words guys!
I never actually backed the horse, I was thinking of putting a tenner on it, even though I don't usually bet on the horses, but an elderly relative took ill over the weekend , I did see the race in the hospital ward though..
...so when I saw the horse come in I was a wee bit gutted!
But family first eh!
