Eddie asked the question to someone in the  other thread, so.... do we see ourselves as others see us? I doubt it somehow.

We all have opinions of others on forums, some peoples opinions about us  seems to be set in stone even before they actually read what we have to say ... others are more open minded and actually listen to what our views are, responding to them and not some preconceived notion of what they think we mean....….either way, we all have our favourite posters (yes we do)

So what is your opinion, which may differ greatly from others, about the varied and interesting posters on this forum?

Bullying is a form of compensatory behavior.  It is born in feelings of inadequacy.  And it is perceived by the id as confirmatory of overcoming an adversary.  In actuality, it is overcoming the fears inside himself.

Until one kicks the ass of a bully.  I remember when I was in middle school this certain overweight guy grew into a bully.  Everyone talked about him, feared him, but I never had any problem with him (I'm 6'2" and was then too).  Until...one day he decided to try it on me.  I promptly kicked his ass into next week.

Then a strange thing happened.  He began to puppy-dog around behind me, inviting me to his home, showing up on weekends...like I say, puppy-dogging.  He was basically admitting his ultimate frailty, and his submissive behavior was an invitation inside his shell to the one who overcame his compensatory behavior.

Taught me a lot about the authoro-submissive personality.  I still never liked him.  It made me feel guilty...like I owed him something because I humiliated him.  So I tolerated him until he went away.

You can't get that with cyber-bullies.  Their confirmatory catharsis is always in their own mind, and they inevitably perceive themselves a winner.  BTW, did you hear the tape of Bob Woodward and Trump: "I'm the greatest president ever"...I want to hear that when he's got the orange jumpsuit on.

Online bullying is in a way even worse than real life bullying.
At least a bully can meet his match or face justice when he does it face to face....faceless bullies who do it hidden behind their computers seem to have free reign.

I do think you bully people sometimes Didge, but I dont think you realise that you do. You try to brow beat people into agreeing with your own viewpoint, you often wont accept people see things differently to you, and you wont let it go.
When people walk away from the thread you do often claim victory, and I think you really do believe you have won the argument/debate....not realising that people are just fed up countering points that often dont even have anything to do with the original points made.

I dont for one minute think your bullying is the type that deliberately wants to hurt people, and I dont think you are a nasty troll either....which is what I was talking about in my previous post.

I dont think pointing out someone is bullying is a more subtle way to bully.

I may have hurt other peoples feelings...never intentionally though, unless someone is being a repeated arse....then it's allowed imo. I think sometimes you mix up retaliation with bullying....they are completely different.

How many of the school kids actually said they wanted these mixed toilets?

That is correct, in the school there are unisex and girl only toilets.
I go to a few restaurants where there are also female only and unisex loos...….seems the lads have to put up or shut up.

I have to say given the choice I will always use the female only toilets...less chance of finding a wet seat.
