The boy addicted to porn at NINE: Father reveals how his son began to 'mimic' violent and X-rated content he watched online until his own SISTERS were scared to be alone with him

A young boy's parents have revealed how their son became addicted to extreme online porn at the age of nine.
Joseph Deschambault, now 13 and a recovering addict, says he was playing a video game when he clicked on an X-rated advert that popped up in the corner of his computer screen. 
From that moment on, he says in the documentary Addicted to Porn, he could think of nothing other than the extreme and violent content he had seen - and his parents have revealed how they now realise it triggered an immediate change in their son's behaviour. 
His mother Tasha - who realised what was going on after stumbling across her son's internet search history - says home-schooled Joseph went from playing with his sisters to 'beating on them'. His father Al says 'he started to disrespect his sisters and my wife right away'.
The Deschambaults say their son - who spent hours searching for violent and graphic images of women while pretending to be doing school work - 'mimicked' what he saw on screen to the extent his sisters became scared to be alone with him.  

'My son was too angry all the time to interact with kids and when he did he often started fights,' Tasha says in the documentary on the Really channel. 
'He went from having fun playing with toys with his sister to beating her up, to her being terrified to be in the house with him - begging me not to leave the room if her brother was in the room.




Now a recovering porn addict at just 13-years-old, Joseph explained how he kept his porn habit secret from his parents, watching it seven days a week and even waking up in the middle of the night to go online. 
'From the four hours [of] school time that I would have before lunch, I would say I was looking at porn for half of those hours.
'Just going on it for the little few moments, when my mum would go to help [my sister] Gabby with her school, then I would maybe have a 30-second period to Google what I need and then I can go back to my school work like nothing ever happened.
'My mum would be sat right next to me and I would have Google up in the corner, and I would be able to view it and I could click right off it and she would never notice.'

I've always thought it totally unnecessary for young kids to have unlimited access to the internet.    They should be out, playing with other kids and just being kids.

He was home schooled so his parents should have had his access controlled. They can’t  even blame it on his peers.

That's a good reason to tighten up on the eligibility of parents to "home school" their offspring..

I disagree. I think wolf has many, many posts that exhibit critical thinking, particularly in the sciences and global climatology. His degree is in agricultural sciences, so I rely on his words for all things in that realm.

The parents are absolutely useless. It is so incredibly easy to block your children's internet access from this type of shit.  I do think though, that if someone has this kind of leaning towards violence then it isn't an outside occurrence that creates it, you pretty much have that within you so it's going to come out sooner or later.

House prices are at all-time highs,  but allied with flat wage growth, reduced hours and tougher credit, 'housing (un)affordabilty' is the worst it's been in decades;

Ever downward pressures on minimum wages, working conditions, environmental protections, human rights...

All in the name of making the wealthy elites and financiers that much richer..

They shouldn't be out playing when they're supposed to be doing their school work, and if they do play outside they should keep the noise down.

Blimey, this really is based on the same absurd principle. That if a child plays violent video games, he will become violent. Many studies have debunked claims that violent video games lead to violence in children.

Sorry, but most children of this age have some understanding of sex. Not of a capacity to mentally understand, but will have an understanding

No child should have access to such violent porn or any porn, but this is one case here. Most children as i say understand sex and here the parents were irresponsible.

When I was young, most kids at this age had access to porn mags. I mean at this age, no matter that boys have not reached puberty, they are very much sexually aware. 

The claim that it was his addication to porn, that made him start fights is very flimsy to say the least and could have more to do with his actual homelife and connection to his family itself. It seems the parents are trying to connect the two. As if, one has led to the other.

A child will developed over the years 1-5, in how they will later be who they are. Off which the parents are massively important in how that child is moulded. Into either being a better person or a bad person. Siblings and others can influence this.

I mean, kids when i was a kid, as i say, had access to porn all the time. It did not make them violent. In fact it had the opposite effect. It was normally, those frustrated with a lack of love from their family, that were violent. Those seeking attention. 

The worrying aspect that society needs to look further into, is why some people are turned on by such violent sexual acts. It does not matter if they are 9 or 30 years old. Some people are sexually turned on by certain things and we need to understand better why this happens with some people.

Yes the parents were dicks here, but most children are not idiots. Some get drawn by the taboo nature of things.

To me this is more about two parents that muddle cuddle their children, that is the issue. That they have no actual rules or consequences. Which has allowed this child to thus rule his parents. They never took control of the situation and he has taken control of them, by their fairy based outlook to disciplining children.

One thing is certain.  Unless we understand the dynamics of sexuality more, we will never get to the question.  Moreover, those who look into sexuality are considered kooky, and in any case, aberrant.  Apparently, we are afraid of sexuality, and the only way to safely handle it, is to cocoon it in a perspective of naughty, but nice.

That's not the proper way to go about scientific inquiry.

I only stated, that we merely do not understand the mindset and neurology of humans yet.
