Australia foils Islamist 'terror plot' to bring down airplane
First topic message reminder :
Australia has foiled an Islamist-inspired "terrorist plot" to bring down an airplane with an improvised explosive, authorities said Sunday, after four people were arrested in raids across Sydney. Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said the plot appeared to be "elaborate" rather than planned by a lone wolf, as security was beefed up at major domestic and international airports across the nation.
"I can report last night that there has been a major joint counter-terrorism operation to disrupt a terrorist plot to bring down an airplane," Mr Turnbull told reporters.

The pub in the financial district is called Simpsons. The pub near Earl's Court is The Raven. Those were two different posts, on two different days, about two different pubs. You put them all together, not me.
You jumped to the conclusion that they were the same pub. I'm merely saying a real Londoner would have known they could not be the same pub. Ergo: you don't know shit about London.

No he doesn't. He was being sarcastic when he said this:
The famous 'financial district' area by Earls Court tube stn...!?
That's why he laughed.

Sarcastic? He didn't mention that. It was a post of his making. He'll have to answer for it.

It was absolutely obvious that he was being sarcastic. That's why he put "financial district" in speech marks. Can you really not tell?

I denoted that in the beginning, by specifying one was in the financial district and one was near Earl's Court. It's you who put them together, and went off on your own confused rant.

No... it was you who said a pub in the financial district... then when questioned about it, you started saying about it being a time when you were wth your daughter and it being by Earls Court tube stn... which is why I was laughing, for reasons explained... as I know London well...!
Anyway... English pubs are great, dont you think...?
Which pub would you say you had the best night in...?
The city pub or the one located more on the west side of London...?

There was no question. I brought up 'interracial company and how people get along in London' again, referring to another time. There was no linking the two pubs or the experiences. My point is, you should have known they were different pubs when you learned one was in the financial district and the other was outside Earl's Court stn.

I love the pubs. I would say both were great. Simpson's is a two-story establishment, with the pub on the ground floor and the restaurant upstairs. We had lunch at Simpson's, then we retired to the bar. But I had been there many times be-4. Just after we were there, the place burned down, but was rebuilt.
British pubs are a worldwide thing...you can always depend on meeting good people and having a good time. At The Raven, also met an Australian couple, whose daughter was at Burning Man at Black Rock, Nevada at the time, and they shared pictures. That's the thing about pubs. Small world.

Tommy, British law is quite strict. Muslims must wear shirts or blouses with a bright yellow "M" on the back.
Then, they are only allowed to consume 3.2 beer (or "near beer"), having only that percent of alcohol. It can only be served in pink teacups.
There's no doubt that those Muslims were drinking beer.

Tommy...Muslims with a yellow "M" on their backs? Legally restricted in what they can order? Probably limited in how many children they may have? It's a script right out of heaven for you. Enjoy...

It was you doing the racial/religious profiling with your earlier claim of so many different people (specifically mentioning Muslims) all 'fraternising and having a beer together'...
I am merely asking you to explain how you could know any of the 'pub beer drinkers' you saw, were Muslims...?

I've lived in London all my life you bell end!!!
And this 'Raven' pub you say was right by Earls Court tube... How far away from the tube was it...? And how long did it take you to walk there...?
Because the only pub I know of called The Raven over that way is at the other end of Goldhawk Road nearer Chiswick... and that is near to 3-4 tube stations... but none of them are Earls Court stn!

Nearest tube stations to The Raven...
Stamford Brook (0.1 miles), Ravenscourt Park (0.4 miles), Turnham Green (0.5 miles)
Nearest train stations...
South Acton (1.2 miles), Acton Central (1.4 miles), Gunnersbury (1.4 miles)
Earls Court station 2.2 miles...

I've also worked in places all over london, including having been a motorcycle courier for 6 months around 20 years ago... so you could definitely say I know London well...
Also... Simpsons isnt a pub either!!!
Its a breakfast and lunch tavern with a bar... catering for city workers... it is closed evenings and weekends!!!

If you knew London that well, you would have recognized what I was describing. Instead, you went on this rant that had Earl's Court over in the East End. Why? Because you don't know the City, that's why.
That's how I knew that you were not familiar with London. Anybody can be anyone on the keyboard. The proof is in what you know, not in what you claim.

Good point...probably could be drinking non-alcoholic, doncha think?
Anyway, rules are meant to be broken methinks. Ever heard of a jack-Mormon? And what about the blacks? Do they abstain as a rule? How about the Asians? I've seen many a Japanese who drinks. And American Natives...wow, there's a boozer! Drinking is widespread outside of the white race. How do you account for them? Remember, we were talking about racial mixing, not only Muslims.
In fact, what is your point? I've asked you that twice today and haven't heard back.

So now you are claiming that all these 'beer drinking Muslims' you saw, were drinking 'non alcohol' beers...!?
Although these types of beer still contain alcohol...!?
And you still haven't been able to explain how you could know any of them were Muslims in the first place!!!
Now if you look back at the OP of this thread, and the earlier posts on here... you will see that it was you who was trying to make a point about how, in London, we all get along so famously with each other regardless of ethnicity/race/religion etc, specifically including Muslims in your summarisation, by claiming we are all in the pub having a beer with each other...!
The point I'm making, is that you may well see a variety of people in a pub, of various ethnicities/nationalities/religious backgrounds etc... all getting along and having a beer together etc... but I can assure you that you are more likely to find 'hens teeth' or 'rocking horse shit' than any of the pub beer drinkers you saw, were Muslims...!!!
Everyone else is quite happy to get on with each other, in a pub having a beer together, or elsewhere... except for Muslims... who cant seem to get on well with anyone else... they're not even able to get on with many other Muslims who might only have slightly different islamist beliefs/views to their own...!!!

No, you can't assure me of anything of the sort. You can't prove anything along those lines...non-alcoholic beer is alcoholic; people of different ethnicities do not gather in pubs; London is an unfriendly place. You're just a blown up bag of bullshit. You bootstrapped yourself into these arguments, and you turn out to be just a lying blowhard.
But never mind...why do you make that point? That's the question

It took you this long to get to the threshold of the real point. By contrast, my response is direct: you are an abject racist, tommy.
You see? Let that be a lesson...you can make your point directly. You are not cool to avoid it...to the contrary, you reveal you are afraid. You may well see a mix of people in a pub having a beer together... never denied that... just not Muslims... they dont drink alcohol as a rule, and they dont like being around people who do... many wont even use a hand wash or perfume/aftershave or mouthwash that contains alcohol... and we have had articles on here before about Muslim shop staff refusing to handle bottled booze at checkouts...
Also...
'... Some of these beers do have a trace alcohol content, up to 0.5% in fact. Whereas alcohol-free and low-alcohol beers are most commonly made by brewing a beer as normal, and then extracting as much of the alcohol as possible ..'
But not all of it...

'...No, you can't assure me of anything of the sort. You can't prove anything along those lines...non-alcoholic beer is alcoholic; people of different ethnicities do not gather in pubs; London is an unfriendly place. You're just a blown up bag of bullshit. You bootstrapped yourself into these arguments, and you turn out to be just a lying blowhard...'

There is actually a small amount of alcohol in many alcohol-free beers, and they're often age restricted.

Tommy, I've just called you a liar and a phony, after setting you up by making you state your claim. You fell for it hook, line and sinker. Now you don't even realize what happened???

That's a surprise to me. But I don't drink, so it's not a subject I would follow. Here, we used to have what they called 'near beer', which had 3.2% alcohol. It was allowed to be sold during the period of Prohibition. Don't know if it's still sold.

Interestingly, some people feel drunk on non-alcoholic beer, even though they're not.

Could be that they are merely experiencing 'sympathetic' reactions.

Yes, apparently so. Because it looks like beer and tastes like beer (sort of), people expect the same effect.

Quill... its you who has been shown as a liar and a phony on this thread for the last few days!!!
We're still waiting for you to explain your claim of being in a pub and seeing all the 'beer drinking Muslims', and to clarify which pub this all supposedly happened, as well as how you knew any of the 'pub beer drinkers' were Muslims...!?

Tommy, did you know that the 9/11 terrorists spent their time in strip bars drinking?
Are you saying they cannot be Muslims or that even lax Muslims in the UK do not drink?

Next point.
You do realise it is easy to see if someone is Muslim by how they dress, whether male or female. Who can easily be in pubs drinking non-alcoholic drinks.
You do realise this Tommy do you not?

How can you tell someone is Muslim by their dress? Many Muslims wear western clothes.

You seem to be claiming to know a lot about the inside of London pubs for someone who now claims they dont drink...!!!

Since when did you have to drink alcohol when visiting a pub?
