Sorry but I have no sympathy. Making a noble animal like a lion perform like a poodle in a cage is asking for trouble and should be banned.

I hate seeing animals do tricks. They are not bred for this, anyway they should be roaming free in the jungles, as should poor elephants chained and made to perform, disgusting.
I feel no pity for the man. The poor Lion's will be put down, for doing what comes naturally!

The only Animals keep in captivity that I approve of are the rescued Monkeys that are kept in excellent premises at Monkey World. Some have been rescued from appalling conditions in testing "factories" others from tiny cages and others from Photographers in overseas holiday venues.

My mum is really against animal cruelty and would never take me to a circus as a child, she hated them for that reason. She didn't like birds in cages and even fish in tanks - though my dad kept lots of tropical tanks as did I.

Well that's a lesson those children won't forget. Shame on their parents who didn't want them to see that, but don't bat an eyelid at such an animal being caged and "tamed".
