Weather today
So, early this morning I woke up from a dream about people pelting my windows with rocks to find out my windows were being pelted by golf-ball sized hail stones. I got up and checked it out, my dog following behind, and then I got back in bed. My dog crawled under the bed
Looking in the news, a woman had to be rescued from a flooding street because giant hail stones were clogging the storm drains. The hail killed five flamingos, a pelican, an ibis and a baby black-neck swan cygnet at the Fort Worth Zoo and sent others to the zoo hospital.
So basically, it's springtime in North Texas!
When these fall from the sky, it's not long before auto dealers start having huge sales:

Sure does. We have separate windscreen cover because of the rocks and dirt here in Arizona. In the 8 years we have been here, we have had to replace 5 windshields. We also have to then replace the tinting as that is not covered and by howdy you need it here.
I already have the air con on at work and at home once Mr. C has gone to sleep

God knows we're tough enough to take it
Yeah, auto insurance covers it but we have to pay higher premiums here than a lot of the rest of the country.
Re: Weather today
Last year I got caught in a hail storm while driving -- that was pretty scary, actually. No damage to the car at all, thankfully, as the stones weren't quite big or dense enough.
Sometimes we get hail the size of tennis balls, but those are usually big, mushy snowballs. It's actually the hail between marble and golf-ball size that causes the most damage.

That would be awesome on a 2009 Chevy Aveo... I wonder if it comes in fire-engine red?
I'll take some of those torpedoes too, please.

Thanks, I grew them myself!
Temperature took a dip but it's still ranging from 14-17. More like our typical weather this time of year, actually.
