Weather warnings
Are in place for the entire South of England, very heavy rain and storm force winds for a prolonged period tomorrow.
Let us all be sensible and careful, and most importantly safe .

Hmmm...Our cats have been fretting and have been refusing to go out and it's very unlike them...

Not a good sign. Luckily my brother picked up my Dad and took him to stay for the holiday season to his home in Newcastle today and not tomorrow.

There have been warnings of travel chaos on London news this evening, that's probably why and a very good move.

This is the third serious weather warning for the South, the other two didn't amount to as serious as they had predicted...We will just have to wait and see with this one, but minds put at rest so perhaps the warnings were warranted.

Re: Weather warnings
Might not have in London, but a few miles from here they would disagree with you about the last one.

Chucking it down in Kent, + howling wind.
Getting ready for work and deep joy, the Dartford Bridge has just been shut.
Looks like I am joining the M25 car park for a few hours today!

WE had a heatwave here last week (with more than 5 days over 35℃..), a couple of days there it was up over 40 in the backyard !!!
Light rain and drizzly yesterday, and promised through to Boxing Day; then back to heat wave conditions later this week..
Heatwave temp's and high humidity --> now that adds up to a TROPICAL New Year here next week ! ::%::
Dig out the basement...To provide a place to get away from the heat...Just put some small windows in!
Air conditioning works a bit well upstairs, but ceiling fans work pretty well at the basement level....Do you really like being hot for all of the time?

@Catman
the middle of summer is a bit of a pain but it means that both spring and autumn are awesome. Although it must admit the year doesn't fell right with out it, it's just provides and excuse to go for a swim and eat ice-creams
