Anyone else having wacky weather
Beautiful morning, sitting have lunch, it suddenly went dark as pitch, huge thunderclaps which shook the windows and lightening, electric went, then sunshine, electric back, now I'm looking out of the conservatory, can see a long way, huge, really low big black clounds and wall of rain coming towards us. The black clouds are really low, keep expecting them to part to shaw a space ship lol!!!!!

I like watching rain and the sound of it is just lovely when you're in bed

It's actually gotten fairly normal around here -- mild high temperatures, occasional severe weather and plenty of rain. It's shaping up for a nice summer. That hail the other day was a little melodramatic, but for the most part it's been lovely this month.

Still chill in the NW of England...(Manchester) though we are having the most amazing sunsets.

That's what I used to love the most when I spent 6 months travelling with a caravan, the noise on the roof of the caravan made me feel part of the storm but cosy, all at the same time.

Yes I have those kind of memories of motor home vans too. My grandparents used to have them and took my cousin and I away for weekends when we were young.

I agree with you both, we have a static caravan right next to the beach in Wales...it rains a lot at night.
At night cozy in bed the combination of the rain hitting the roof and the waves crashing on the shore is probably my favourite sound in the whole world.

Wonderful isn't it. When I went back to a house I felt like crying the first storm we had, I felt so cut off from it.

ditto. We even had a few instances of rain...thank goodness...thanks to El Nino. We had hail last week.
I just hate the wind this time of year...blows all the dust and crap around.

I would absolutely love to do it again, different place whenever we felt like it, in contact with the elements, freedom!

We're back in the time of year where I usually only have to do one load of laundry per week, since I'm wearing shorts most days

I grilled out tonight, actually! People are always telling me, "Oh, that smells so good," and I'm all like, "Yeah, don't you wish you'd decided to do the same thing!"
Because I'm a shit that way.
