I think it is fair to say many are getting tired and that so many threads on one topic is spoiling debate for any other topics of interest.
On my part I am happy to limit myself to one a day

I agree. The one form of rule that I would favor is that against insulting and abusing. The reason why I would champion that rule is insulting and abusing is not what we are here for. So it's not blanket censorship, but simply honing our purpose.

I like the rule that we may not start a thread against a single poster. It's worked very well for us.

I suppose their has to be degree of censorship on any forum, but the less the better.

The spam rule is really to prevent people from solely presenting a product, company or themselves. Sassy and Didge post about plenty besides Israel. Do I enjoy the Israel threads? I do not. to be honest it is hardly even sold here anymore, the only place I have seen it on tap is hotels that cater to tourists. 
the same brewer does have other beers that are more common
Craft beers have taken a large portion of the market, Plus what was unheard of 10 years ago is becoming quite common, to have a cider on tap, which is my personal preference.

In Somerset used to drink 'Scrumpy' cider sometimes.  It's lethal, made on farms, cloudy, less fizzy that bottled cider, you take you own containers normally, so brilliant for parties, but look out for the headache.  Trouble is, it's delicous.
