Could the refugee crisis really break up the European Union?
Today’s 43 new deaths by drowning in the Aegean Sea brought Europe’s migration crisis sharply back into focus just as the French Prime Minister, Manuel Valls, warned that unless the flow of refugees is better managed, it could cause the break-up of the European Union.
How serious is the refugee crisis?
More than a million migrants and refugees came to Europe last year, mostly via Turkey. Although winter was expected to slow the pace, 35,000 have arrived in the first three weeks of January, compared with 1,600 for the whole month last year.

The Refugee crisis will not end up breaking the European Union. It will be the European Leaders in how they handled the crisis that will spell the doom of the EU, as they fundamentally screwed it up by not properly checking who they were letting in. Its now evident that with the many genuine family refugees that did seek shelter in Europe that countless migrants of unknown affiliations got in off the back of the crisis. This has not only now made the reality of refugees entering the EU more problematic to the point many borders could soon be closed, thus making more genuine refugees sadly suffer. But where now many European nations have now a growing discontent within their nations over the whole fiasco in the first place, where now many citizens do not even feel safe. All because the leaders open door policy was flawed and the biggest losers sadly in all of this will be the genuine asylum seekers
