At first these scars look horrendous and they are, especially on a young lady, they will get to look less awful with time.

I admire her "won't be broken"stance and wish her luck.

I gotta few scars myself but not visible.

You can only get the real picture if you read the same story in a variety of papers with differing political persuasions. Each will put their own spin on the story, but this is a story of a brave young lady, not a sniff of anything political. Snobbery perhaps on your part?
