Sunday - Sunday, Sunday Morning...and a new week begins
WOW, fire sirens going off most of the afternoon and went on into the midnight hours. Wind driven wild fires kept being rekindled and sparks blowing in the wind. And it was PROM NIGHT for the local high school. Didn't see one young lady in a mid-length dress or shorter; but perhaps they were busy holding their dresses in place and avoided the footage/filming. Lots of color variations in those young men's attire - some quite dashing...LOL To much smoke seeped into my house and now my eye's are gummy and my nose is STUFFED UP

Dinner called BBL, been a good day so far. Repotted so many vegetable plants in the greenhouse because they are growing so fast! And the strawberries are in big pots and how flowers on - how did that happen!

Well, you managed far more garden jobs then I did; dropped one of my canes out there in the older chicken run and dog gone it...can't find my extension grabber to pull it up and through the squared cattle panel covering --- wore my arms out trying to retrieve it and boy were my older hens being soooo helpful - NOT. Pesky - nosy ole' broads...standing on it when I almost had it picked up! But I filled extra water buckets, cleaned out both watering cans, gathered the eggs, filled feeders and because I've been rotating my older frozen veggies sacks around --- I'd thawed some sacks of mixed veggies and took those out for the 2 chicken pens --- my little feathered hens sure do love those mixed veggies.
But it's a lovely day, I've made some good stout iced tea and now it's siesta time for me.

I've shut the chickens up, put the trash yard cart to the curb, feed the 3 little poopers and now it's time to go put my puffy ankles up on the pillow and the heating pad down my back!
Sorry about your pesky headache, Eddie; I don't get headaches but I do suffer from migraines --- nasty things.
It's been quite another wonderful day in our 'NEIGHBORHOOD' and I've enjoyed each and every thread. Very refreshing and most enjoyable. See ya later group!

Co-codamol - it's the codeine which puts you out.
I had a fabulous time in the pub last night - I only meant to go for a quick drink.

Morning peeps, what is going on, the SUN woke me up early!
WOW...codeine --- I'd be out for a long period of time and highly hung over the next morning; that stuff kicks my arse and my body takes 4ever to rid itself of the affects.
Raggs - nothing more enjoyable then spontaneous nights with good friends - good times.
Sassy - you've got rays of sunshine!!!
I'm in possible chances {slim to none}...over cast and thunder storms around here last night; and nothing to show for it --- just loud thunder and zero rain.
Still cloudy this morning and a cold front pushing down from up north so we're in for those dog gone barometric pressure swings and I'm achy and very - very whiney today!

I inherited my migraines from my dad - my son inherited them from me and we just seem to keep passing them along. Out of my other 5 siblings only one older sister suffered from them as well.
When they sneak up on me in the wee hours {2am} and I wake up with a migraine raging --- I'm light sensitive - sound sensitive - odor sensitive and taking anything will give me the dry heaves - that sensation of having a rail road spike being driven behind one of my eyes!
I have to keep a injectable shot of Toradol on hand for such occasions --- but they've been few and far between since this onset of 'Lyme's' has hit me {2 yrs ago}...
Now if I feel one coming on I can use those pressure points {webbing between my thumb & first finger}, another one is over whatever eye brow has the spike driving through my eye, as well as ice packets for my neck and hot pack for my forehead/sinus.
And sleep - and quiet - and no bright lights or sunshine!

Re: The good night and good morning thread
Sounds awful! Mine aren't migraines, though my dad used to suffer with them.
Mine start in one shoulder blade and go up through my neck and into one side of my head. They last 48 hours, always!
Today it's mild but later on it'll be worse.

Take it easy eddie, this reads like a future neck problem to me. It is how mine began. Be exceptionally careful how you rest your head before sleeping. x

Interestingly, codeine can actually cause headaches. I think codeine is a very useful drug - I took pretty high doses for a while, but I'd use it with caution really. For mild or moderate pain, I stick to paracetamol. Aspirin doesn't work for me, and I'm a bit wary of other NSAIDs like ibuprofen.

I'll agree with that; my first thought was - you've got a nerve problem in that specific shoulder and your body is trying to send you warning signals --- all the way to your pain center. R U listening to your body,

True...I'm a 'have to rotate position' sleeper for the past 5 years now
Or I'll have 2 arms & hands that have no feeling or 2 legs that won't work right --- often makes trying to get up & out of bed real interesting, let alone getting into the bathroom as needed!

Re: The good night and good morning thread
Don't know if it relevant Eddie, but from about last April I was getting bad necks and shoulder all the time, carried on to feel like I had ants crawling over my face and neck, finally I got terrible pain in my face and neck. Just in case it was anything nasty they sent me for a CT scan that was clear. You know I don't like taking pills, but my doctor suggested a course amitriptyline, it's a mild tranquiliser and anti-depressent, but also a muscle relaxant and also works on nerves. With great reluctance I took one at night for 2 weeks. Result - no neck pain, no ear pain, no face pain, no ants crawling. I had been feeling really bad and it took it all away! Doc said there was a pretty good change the muscles in my neck had gone into spasm and trapped a nerve. Whatever it was, it worked and I was so grateful.

It could be some kind of rheumatism or arthritis. Have you asked the doc about it?

I know, but the thing is, if it's in all those areas it could be caused by muscle spasm that would be better treated by muscle relaxants than painkillers. Codeine is dreadful for you and hyper addictive, can also cause pain, so you could find yourself in a viscious circle. Have you actually talked to your doctor about it?

If it comes and goes it could be gout, or a type of rheumatoid arthritis.

Thank goodness for that! Codeine worries the life out of me. Rather than it being hormonal, when you are hormonal, if you see what I mean, do you sleep differently? Get hot, toss and turn, end up in funny positions (no innuendo meant lol)

Drugs frighten the shit out of me, I'm allergic to 99% of painkillers anyway, but refuse to take anything normally. Because I've been allergic for so long I've built up a very high pain threshold thank goodness.
