The other reason that people would vote for the FPTP system is that the two main parties benefit from it, and since they have more supporters than the other parties, they would win the vote.

These boat people coming from Libya are not libyans fleeing war etc, they are black Africans from elsewhere in the continent just trying to blag their way into Europe and mainly to the UK.

They should be immediately returned to their own home countries, or better still, intercepted near the north African coast, towed back to where they left from and their boats confiscated or sunk.

THE highest support for anti-immigration politicians, neo-nazi militia types and the more extreme Evangelist groups has usually been in poorer rural areas, fringe outer suburban ghettoes, and remote parts of western Queensland, inland Western Australia, western parts of NSW and Vic. ~ all the 'usual suspects'..

As for the OP thread title. Out of all the political parties UKIP by a mile increased their vote share more than any other. Got them nowhere in terms of seats in parliament though and under FPTP it's not likely to change.
