Hi Eilzel
It is funny and shows again it is like the BNP before with all the hype after the EU elections. Same usual suspects shouting from the roof top setting themselves up for a mighty fall lol. Fair enough they had nearly 4 million votes but it is not widespread. The thing is what will be interesting is after the referendum. If people vote to leave, what would then UKIP be able to play off?

Re: Well done UKIP
UKIP got just under 4,000,000 votes this time round compared to only 900,000 in 2010, coming second in over a hundred seats so overall a great result and massive increase in support... sadly the way the electoral system is means that it didn't turn into the number of seats that the voting numbers represent.
Also it is clear that The recent constant bombardment of The polls waffle coupled with the constant media spun propaganda that you must vote one to keep the other out scared enough people into voting Tory to keep what would have been a disasterous labour govt getting in again.
This clearly had a negative affect on UKIP votes... how many tens or hundreds of thousands of people switched from UKIP to Tory at The last minute?
Two of my friends did so I'm sure many thousands more also did across the country.
This ensured a Tory majority so now Cameron has got no excuses not to deliver a referendum on EU, reduce immigration to tens of thousands and A bonfire of The quangos!!!
All things I am in favour of but I would have liked to see a few (and well deserved) UKIP MPs in parliament to hold Tory to account.
Let's not forget that UKIP got a huge number of more votes than lib dems!!!

Re: Well done UKIP
4 million not wide spread having the majority view counts for little if the support is at best second best.
One seat Tommy and like you were told before, come the election Rochester would be won back by the Tories with a decent turn out.
As I said earlier, 4 million is a good turn out on voting, but around 13%, which is below what they were polling, so its ironic that the polls were placing them higher really when you think about it, disproving your claim they were biased against UKIP
Funny that
One seat and what was your prediction again Tommy as to how many seats UKIP would win and what percentage of the vote?

Re: Well done UKIP
The polls and media have been constantly bombarding us with low prediction for UKIP, neck and neck lab Tory and the idea that you must vote for one to keep the other out.
This obviously had the intended effect of scaring enough people into voting Tory to keep labour out and greatly reducing UKIP votes...
From 900,000 in 2010 to 4,000,000 now is a massive increase and huge support.
I think the lib dems only got 6,000,000 in 2010 and 56 or so seats, so you can see how close UKIP was to get a whole load of seats this time round... the media propaganda campaign obviously prevented that... as intended...!
Although I would have liked to see a dozen or so UKIP MPs in parliament, I am quite happy with Tory having a majority as it means they don't have any excuses now to deliver on ALL their promises... EU referendum, reduce immigration to tens of thousands and A bonfire of The quangos!!!
All of which I whole heartedly support!!!

Re: Well done UKIP
The polls were polling UKIP higher so no bias then, if there was bias, it was in favour of UKIP.
So come on Tommy, do not be shy, tell everyone the prediction of seats you claimed UKIP would win and the percentage of votes?

UKIP only got one seat because they didn't have a simple majority in any other constituency, whereas the LibDems got simple majorities in 8 constituencies.
If this was all done by proportional representation, UKIP would have got about 82 seats.

Re: Well done UKIP
So one poll now is your evidence and not an average
How strange.
UKIP were only close to getting a couple of seats because there support is strong only in certain areas and even then it is bar one winning seat, second best. In fact many of these areas tend to be less immigration as well which is telling So you can dress it up all you like. I have stated it is a good turn out for UKIP, but you need to have the majority winning vote. Of which they did not, where again your view of how many they would win and the proportion of the vote was widely exaggerated by you. They had half the votes that you predicted based on 26-28% and well lets not even go into how many seats you claimed they would win lol.

Quite right rags, and the heavy media/poll propaganda campaign of brain washing obviously had the desired effect to scare enough UKIP voters into voting Tory to stop labour...

Re: Well done UKIP
Dodge, I said could get 20-25%... without the heavy media/poll propaganda campaign showing Tory labour neck and neck and low UKIP, then not so many would have been scared into voting Tory and UKIP would have had even more votes, much nearer to My 20% prediction and A whole bunch of seats.
Second in over a hundred seats is still an undeniable strong result for a party who only got 900,000 votes in 2010.
Now Cameron has got no excuses to not deliver a referendum on EU, reduce immigration to tens of thousands and A bonfire of quangos... if he fails to do what he promised yet again then UKIP will be an even bigger force in 2020!!!

One thing to think about, you do realise that if the nation does vote to leave, UKIP will have to fundamentally restructure their party

Re: Well done UKIP
how does a given party get three times the amount of votes of another party and end up with 50 odd less seats. it's quite baffling really.
Guest- Guest
Re: Well done UKIP
SNP were concentrated in one area, Scotland, while UKIP was spread thinner throughout the whole of UK.
However coming second in over a hundred seats is quite an achievement for a party only 20 years old, and the fact that 4,000,000 people voted for them will obviously have an effect on The policy of other partys who did get into parliament.

I'm talking about the constant promotion of the propaganda polls showing a false neck and neck to lab and Tory coupled with the constant media spun line that you have to vote for one to stop the other etc.
This had the desired effect of scaring enough people into voting for Tory to stop what would have been a disasterour labour govt, and reducing UKIP support too.

You mean the SNP? Interestingly, they're very keen on proportional representation. I don't know why because if we had that they would have ended up with about 30 seats instead of 56.

Good evening Folks.
I see that the children Eilzel & Dodgy Didge have been saying silly things again about UKIP. So it takes an adult to put things right,so here it is.
There are many reasons why the Tories won the GE & here are two of them.
1.SNP.
2.UKIP.
No SNP or UKIP equals no Tory election win.Simple as that.
The electorate messed their pants when they saw the SNP surge & were forced to vote Tory.
Many UKIP voters felt compelled to switch back to the Tory party & voted for it,for the same reasons as the rest of the Tory voting electorate.
The Conservative party owes a debt of gratitude to the voters that didn't really want to vote for them, but had to.
And I've just read that if proportional representation was the favoured method of voting in the UK,then UKIP would have won 83 seats.

The last bit is correct - well maybe 82 seats anyway. This is why UKIP do better in the European elections.
I don't know about people being forced to vote Tory instead of UKIP - why would they feel forced to do that? Do you mean that they voted Tory to keep a Labour/SNP coalition at bay?

It could also mean that it wasn't explained very well, or that it's difficult to envisage the effect of such a system. It's not the same as PR. I should think that a lot of people voted to stick with what they already knew - many people are like that.

That is a tad late, why then not now.
It proves you do not back democracy, you are as bad as some daft Islamic extremist, if people in the majority do not follow your views, as otherwise you would respect the democratic process

Again, by not being explained well, means you view the majority of being ignorant of the systems.
You can deflect all you like, you are claiming the majority of Brits were ignorant when voting.
Even worse you have utterly no evidence to back up your pig shit ignorant hearsay.

Well they would be ignorant of a system they didn't know - that doesn't necessarily mean they're thick.
Speaking of ignorance, your posts are very ignorant - as in rude.

So you offer no evidence and make a very appalling view claiming ignorance of many Brits based on your own ignorance then, as it was nothing more than hearsay bullshit
Yeah I am rude to you, because you are rude in how you define Brits as ignorant, which is trying to make you understand that being nasty is wrong, because the simple fact is you do not like it, even though you are doing this yourself
Now maybe you will learn before you open your big fat gob

I'm putting forward some ideas, unlike you who just sits there posting at people rather than actually discussing anything properly.
Ignorance can have two meanings. It can mean that someone is ignorant of facts, or a system, or it can mean that they have no manners - like you.
Learn some, otherwise you will go back on ignore. People like you are really not worth bothering with.
