Not exactly a ringing endorsement for gun safety, is it? Welcome aboard, veya!

Lurker, I know what you mean. I don't understand the many people who say they "love" guns or call themselves "gun lovers." But then again, I don't understand "car lovers" either ... it's just an object Neutral

U.S. states hold gun appreciation day events -- five accidentally shot Empty Quick-draw game kills man

I read somewhere where they were using Glocks and thought they were empty. They just can't understand that when you remove a clip there is usually one bullet left in the chamber. How many deaths are caused yearly by this stupid mistake?

Idiocy abounds. For another example, see -- every time summer happens, someone kills their kid by leaving him/her locked in a car with the windows rolled up. It happens year after year after year.

i think you hit it right on the head. whatever potential killing measure there may be only becomes potentiated by stupidity. i like to think of myself as extremely tolerant but stupidity and ignorance, which is in effect lazy thinking, threatens that resolve.

I think the problem is that people keep turning into clueless young adults with no common sense.
