The NFL gave him a one-game suspension. Typical. This is the same NFL that slapped Ray Rice on the wrist for cold-cocking his wife in the Atlantic City elevator.

They could give a shite. The Tagliabue gangstas...Al Davis would turn over in his grave.

Flat-out gave her a roundhouse...knocked her clean out, so she had to be dragged out on the Hotel lobby floor.  It's on video.  Take a look.

The NFL tried to smooth-talk their way through this, while the video was withheld from the public.

Someday I hope to live in the world where I can full-on break a rival reporter's ankle and get a week off with pay for doing so.

The world of pro sports is utterly insane.

Jesus wept. What a big man he is.
A couple of questions... was he prosecuted? Is his team boycotted now for allowing him to remain in the team?
Are they still together?
Who was that tw*t in the suit who didn't even take any interest in how she was ?

A couple of questions... was he prosecuted? Is his team boycotted now  for allowing him to remain in the team?

1.  Was he prosecuted?

USA Today wrote:Baltimore Ravens RB Ray Rice was accepted into a pretrial intervention program Tuesday to avoid aggravated assault charges against his now-wife, Janay Palmer.

“This decision was arrived at after careful consideration of the information contained in Mr. Rice’s application in light of all of the facts gathered during the investigation,” acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain told the Press of Atlantic City.

“After considering all relevant information in light of applicable law, it was determined that this was the appropriate disposition.”

Once the program is completed — which takes place over the course of one year — Rice will not be convicted of third-degree aggravated assault. The arrest, however, will remain on his record.

2.  Was his team boycotted?

His team, the Baltimore Ravens, released him and will have nothing to do with him.  To date, no team has offered him a contract.

The real story is the response of the NFL Management Office in NYC...which gave Ray a slap on the wrist until the actual video was aired.  Then the deceitful bastards got all up in arms like they didn't know anything about it.  Witness say they they knew about it all along and were sent a copy of this video immediately by the Atlantic City Police Department.  They tried to sweep it under the rug.  Now they say they were bamboozled by Rice who didn't tell the whole story, but witnesses say Rice confessed everything to the Commissioner the first meeting.  Classic cover-up.

The NFL used to be a honorable outfit, until the Tagliabue gangstas got into the management.

3.  Are they still together?

Janay and Ray Rice are together today.  In fact, when the incident happened they were not married.  They have since married.  Janay says that she was drunk during the incident and she claims she was as much the culprit as Ray.

Still...Ray has to answer to himself.  Like: Just between me, myself and I, how the fouk could you do that?!

4.  Who was that tw*t in the suit who didn't even take any interest in how she was ?

I don't know; he wasn't identified.  It looks like he is some sort of security. If so, he might have wanted to avoid personal involvement, for hotel liability reasons, instead alerting the police. I think he might have helped the poor girl up, but who knows what his instructions were.

According to the story, Janay was out cold.  Ray first told the bystanders that she had passed out drunk while riding down in the elevator.

it was just as much fault as Janay's as Ray's

they were both drunk and she spat on him, if a woman cold-cocked a man in that situation nothing would be said

and Raiola and the Lions have always been dirty players, its like his 6th safety issue offense since 2010

Yes, Janay has admitted her own contributory fault.  I think Janay and Ray have come completely clean with the world and the fans.  They were stupid and they knew it.  I can't say the same for the NFL.

Two teams have had decades of a bad reputation...the Lions and the Raiders.  The Lions continue on, but the NFL has ruined the Raiders as a franchise.  That is because Paul Tagliabue and Al Davis, deceased owner of the Raiders, hated each other.  Al Davis beat the NFL at two antitrust lawsuits.  Guess who was the NFL's attorney? You guessed it...Paul Tagliabue.

It proves that the NFL is full of shit when it comes to cleaning up the League. They could care less about the Lions. But they have harangued the Raiders almost out of business.

i agree about Raiola, if they cared and wantd to do something to make him stop, suspend him for the playoffs, its like a game off so he doesnt get hurt, they're already in the playoffs so sundays game only matters in seeding

Do you play chess?  You read strategy very well.

How to turn a liability into an asset: they have suspended Raiola for the final game of the season.  Like Ben says, a week off with pay.

It's like they do with these cops who kill black men...We've suspended him pending an investigation = paid vacation for six weeks and they keep their seniority.
