Honestly. Dragging old grandmothers into the Job Centre for an interview is a new low.

In Musselburgh as well - just a couple of miles down the road from where I live.

CLASSIC...

I wonder if it was a simple "clerical error" (i.e. plain old incompetence..);

OR maybe a case of "identity theft" where some young layabout stole her identity, to help with a spot of social security fraud..

I have a friend who has recently been told that his usual job search, which they had no problem with, has to change. He was told by an "advisor" that he now should be keeping a complete diary of his job search everyday and is expected to spend 7 hours a day, Monday to Friday, job searching. Having looked at the Universal Job Match site, that would take up 15 minutes a day searching. It's become ridiculous, but it does make it easier for the unemployed to get sanction and thus reduce the unemployment figures so the government can claim they are successfully generating new jobs etc. Shambles and this letter proves what a shower of shit they are.

I think she should be able to enjoy her retirement without being pestered to seek employment at 90.

ARE you after that position harassing the 90+ Pensioner age group to get back out into the workforce ~ and to stop all of their skiving off the poor hard-done-by corporate "taxpayers" and their 1.5% offshore tax havens ???

ONLY hitch might be that the word on the street is that the government contractor in charge of screwing_over senior pension recipients is only prepared to pay you £5- ~ and even THAT'S per day, not an hour ! tongue
