How honest are you?
First topic message reminder :
Why do I ask? All will be revealed in a minute. I'm no thief, I don't knock over old ladies and pinch their pensions. I don't like lies for the truth will always come out. BUT, I will take advantage of someone who doesn't pay attention to their job. Let me explain:
I went into a garage recently to fill up. I duly went to the checkout where there are two tills. The one I went to was a young girl, probably late teens, early twenties. As always I pointed to my car and said the pump number, and asked for a packet of baccy. Her colleague on the next till was having a laugh and joke with another customer, and the girl serving me was looking and listening the whole time. She got the baccy and I put my card in the slot, diddled the number. The girl gave me my reciept and off I went. I looked at the reciept as I got in the car and realised she hadn't charged me for the fuel. £40 worth! I casually belted up, expecting the girl to rush out after me, but no, she was serving the next customer, so I drove off. I've never seen the girl there since, not surprising really.
How honest are you? Do you or would you take advantage?

Maybe not TVs, but clothing is surely a necessity ... never mind what Sphinx may try to lay on you
Second hand clothes are cheap. One isn't forced to buy new expensive clothes.
Anyway, some people are trying to introduce red herrings into the scenario, presumably because they don't disapprove of what stardesk did.

Jesus Christ, in my very-first post I said I'd go back and pay for the fuel ...
And I'm all for second-hand clothing. Because I don't care about that shit the way you humans do ... but take a look at this:

When you are poor in a rich society, you do things to make yourself feel like less of an alien and an outsider, full stop. When you actually know what that's like, feel free to tell us all about it. Until then, you're always going to sound like the girl from "Common People" to those who know.

And hence why you don't care
Grow up strawman.
Ps get a fucking dictionary
The Straw Man fallacy is committed when a person simply ignores a person's actual position and substitutes a distorted, exaggerated or misrepresented version of that position.
so the only thing i could have distorted, exaggerated or misrepresented is the amount you stole al the rest is a matter of public record
so how much was it you stole did i get that wrong ....easy enough to check
How can you check?

At the end of it all, only we can really judge ourselves and sleep at night, or not.
Perhaps the very fact that stardesk posted about it shows that he either felt very justified or very guilty.
Only he will ever know.

I wasn't necessarily referring to you actually, although you did introduce the element of being too "poor" to pay for petrol.
What people need to learn is that "stuff" doesn't make a difference to who they are. Ask any woman who has clothes with the price tags still on hanging around in the wardrobe. Ask them how it feels to donate that stuff and how free it makes them feel. Most people don't learn that lesson until later of course - someone said that we spend the first half of our lives accumulation stuff, and the second half trying to get rid of stuff. When I was young I didn't have much stuff, and of course I wanted it. Now I have too much stuff and I'm donating large amounts of it.
You talk as if there are all these rich people walking around with just a few "poor" people hanging around amongst them. Most people can't afford boats, expensive cars, big houses, and expensive holidays. Are you actually saying that it's OK for poor people to steal things so they "fit in" with rich people?

Re: How honest are you?
Korben, you said the following c&p on a previous page. I would be grateful if you will edit and amend it, as I haven't got a criminal record. Neither did I say 'crack on.' I think that was Stooo.
'yes started by him he thinks £40 is nothing and as he said "who cares" you care i care
i am sure the attendant cared when she lost that money out of her wages cares
l said "that attitude did not surprise" me no mention of his criminal record for theft
He knew exactly what i meant it was cryptic enough, but he chose to make me expand on the comment I asked him if he was sure he wanted me to do that
he said crack on
Now he is crying personal information when its clearly not and keeps calling me a retard
If He wants a fight then hey happy to oblige.'
BTW, I'm not sure who said it a little way back, but taking food out of a shop's waste bins is STEALING! It still belongs to the shop until it is collected and removed from the premises
In my petrol situation, it was a mistake, albeit to my benefit, it wasn't as though I went in, filled up, and deliberately drove off without paying. I went to the kiosk with every intention to pay, but, due to her incompetence and slap-happy attitude, I came away without paying for it.

You knew straightaway that you hadn't paid, so you might as well have just driven off in the first place.

The Devon flag adds the green of the Devonian fields to the rest of the peninsular.
In recent times, there was hell up between the Cornish & Devonians over a pasty. The dispute arose because a Devon based baker made & sold some pasties which he called 'Cornish' pasties.
There was talk of war in the pubs.
Yes, the pubic wars.
