First topic message reminder :

Especially a forum being run from Turkey, as is harbouring criminals involved in hacking.
And don't forget Coulson, who didn't do the hacking himself, but got his lackies to do his dirty work, then published the results.
Remarkable similarities.
I wonder how long he will go down for?
And the admin there is making no comment.
It will be interesting to see what action forumotion take against it, not just for breaking the forum rules, and also the law, but for allowing the illegally hacked posts to remain visible.

I'm sure when Forumotion have looked into it and exposed the liars for what they are Dean will get the full site re-instated.

Look, all these free forums are subject to the rules of the host, and if they don't keep to them, they risk being closed down. If hacked PMs were on Flap, Forumotion aren't going to like that.

I had nothing against the place until I read something about it half an hour ago.

Really Tess? It's spiteful is it to be angry about private information being hacked? And as I said before, if they hacked into a particular computer, they could have taken other information as well, bank account details etc. You might not take that seriously, I do. It's illegal and allowing it to be published is illegal as Andy Coulson knows. If Flap had done what he should have done, banned Hugh immediately and taken down the posts, none of this would have happened. So you are blaming the victims instead of the perpetrators.

Quite! I don't think the Litigation Department has finished looking into it completely and they will certainly be keeping an eye of Flap at the very least.

I'd just like to point out that BigAndy9 never sent me an e-mail, he just immediately started flinging accusations at me in a thread I had ignored for a while. If I hadn't stumbled across his complaint I wouldn't have seen anything was wrong, but I found the fix in the Help section and was (apparently) able to restore his PM function, as I got a sarcastic PM from him this morning about it ...

In truth the only known villain is Hugh; by posting pm's that he hacked or knew were illegally obtained with the intention of causing mischief.
Dean failed to deal with it miserably by allowing his friendship with Hugh to blind his admin role and objectivity.
Had he deleted the posts immediately and banned Hugh at once, explaining why, none of this would have occurred.

Why is it spiteful, I would have said the same thing to her if she had been here. Blaming the victim instead of the person who has committed the crime, and it was a crime, is not a very nice thing to do, is it?

I'm saying that the information was gained by clandestine, underhanded, dishonest methods, and you don't know, and I don't know, whether the only information the person who did it took was the pms. They could have taken other information as well. As however much you and Flap don't like it, it was illegal, and allowing it to be published was illegal.
