BNP Banned!
First topic message reminder :
3rd June 2014
Please discuss.
Church of England clergy face being defrocked if they are found to be members of the BNP or National Front after bishops ruled that their views are un-Christian and promote the “sin of racism”.
It is the first time Anglican priests have formally been banned from membership of any political party.
Bishops declared the two groups to be “incompatible with the teaching of the Church of England” because of their respective stances on “equality of persons or groups of different races”.
Clergy who defy the ban would be subject to disciplinary procedures under a clause in canon law which requires them to be “wholesome examples and patterns to the flock of Christ” in their public and private lives.
It follows a vote in the governing General Synod four years ago calling for the church to adopt a similar policy towards the two groups as police forces already have.
Bishops agreed to impose the ban after legal advice that the Church could not be sued under human rights law for curtailing clerics’ free speech.

Can a gay person be saved, according to this? Well, sure. And they can go on being gay, as you just pointed out. But then someone like you will come along and point to this same verse and say there's no way they're going to heaven, because it says "no gays in heaven."
But it also says works won't get you into heaven. But no gays, no premarital sex, no idolatry, no adultery, no greediness, no thievery, no drunkenness, no slander, no swindling, if you want to get into heaven. But if you're sanctified you go to heaven, even though you will continue to sin after being saved.
You see how this doesn't make any sense?
of course it can be reasoned through and quite simply, God knows our hearts, when we accept him as our Lord and Saviour that is our repentance, our intention is to allow God to change our ways to be inline with his ways, so if you are gay, which God disagrees with and you openly and honestly intend to give your life to him, he will accept you and you will be saved, if you have no intention of even trying to change, so if you go to saved with the intention of continuing to have a gay relationship, you may fool yourself but you will not fool God, in the same way you would not expect a murderer to accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour and going out and committing more murders...
So that's the case for murderers and gay people, what about for those who slander, or are greedy?
Re: BNP Banned!
To be honest Andy the BNP have always been a right/left wing extremist party with very dodgy roots. The left bit is their economic policies. worthy of Millibands views.
They are as bad as the lefties on here. Full of prejudice bigotry and intolerance.

Sorry fa I didn't see the reference to Corinthians. Maybe Paul waswrong in his belief God disapproves of homosexuality, Imean - didn't he live a sinful life himself? If homosexuality is such a sin why did Jesus never mention it?heavenlyfatheragain wrote:Ben_Reilly wrote:Yes, but that is one thing you can't really reason your way through.

it is the same for all, whom ever ask Jesus will be saved but they must ask with a heart that means it, everyone is saved by Grace, none of us deserve his mercy but anyone can have it...that is why he died for all our sins, for every person..

the whole bible sets the tone for God's expectations, we started with a man, who was given a woman and they were told to fill the earth and subdue it, it says that a man shall find a wife ...

Homosexuals will be saved if they accept Jesus , even if they continue being homosexual their salvation cannot be taken back , the reason being that Jesus blood paid the penalty for the sin every sin , that is what Grace is about , people would say it is a licence to sin ,but anyone who knows Jesus as their saviour will try not to sin but they can never be sinless it is impossible and God knows this , that is why his mercies are new every day because we as human beings will always fail no matter how hard we try . The key to forgiveness and grace is to get saved , you will not have salvation if you do not accept Jesus .

yes , the bible tells us it is a place of eternal torment, separated from God...
But if God owns everyone's soul then why would there be a need for a hell, if nobody can land up there regardless of what sins they commit anyway?...
Or do non believers risk the chance of going to hell?..is it only them who run this risk?

But we can't have started with just one man and one woman as Genesis was recorded by a third party (presumably a male scribe?).

Re: BNP Banned!
This thing about non believing in God just doesn't add up, especially as we have never seen this God, never heard him or saw any evidence of him and his wonders anywhere ,,,,
I could say ' oh, if you don't believe in the monkey in my cupboard, then you shall go to hell' ...
