Police were today investigating a sign telling pet owners to stay out of an east London park because "Muslims do not like dogs".

The warning, in Bartlett Park, Poplar, said: "Do not walk your dog here! Muslims do not like dogs. This is an Islamic area now."

It was today branded "unacceptable" and "provocative" by an MP who called in police after being alerted to the sign by a concerned dog walker.

On reading the sign alone, it does read as though it was placed there by anti Islamics , even if it was placed there by a Muslim, or some sort of Muslim group, I think the wording would be different...

This sign looks as though it is a dig at Muslims....

Well I don't agree with that Tess, any bus air cab driver should allow guide dogs on , regardless of what faith they are or where they come from...if they are in this country working and living , they need to adapt to our way of life and treat guide dog owners and their dogs with respect.


Guide dogs do a fantastic job, and the time and money that goes into training just one dog ...as well as the effort is immense.

Councils should not issue licences to anyone refusing to ferry a blind person and their guide dog,,,,

Anyone caught doing so should face immediate disciplinary action.

These dogs are amazing.

That is just ridiculous and any bus driver refusing to take a blind person with his dog on board should be sacked by his employer immediately.
