To be fair the rules should be applied equally to all.

If Phil has been reported for the slightest mention of other forums he can hardly be blamed for responding in kind.

Not at all.

Admin can't get a clear view of who is breaking the rules unless all the rule breakers are pointed out.

Beforehand admin was not getting a clear view, the RW scum were complaining about all my posts, and their posts weren't being highlighted.

There are no rules against pointing out rule breaks, else the RW scum that's been complaining would have been banned by now.

Phil, you are probably right that you are the victim of an inconsistent judgment. But, the problem is that when you break the rules you do it way overmuch. So you become the poster child for that offense.

I don't think Cass is being a RWer when she says what she says. She is saying you are OTT on your offenses...not that others don't do it too.

To be fair, there is a strong suggestion at the top of the site to not discuss other forums, because so many people were doing that at one point that we had more threads here about Flap, etc. than we had about news.

The only person ever banned over something like talking about other forums was AB, but that her case was also one of spamming/threadjacking.

Could the rules be made more clear as to what specifically you can discuss?

I don't see that helping someone with a link is any harm.

If the person were slating said forum or members, then they would be banned or warned according to current rules.

It's not a rule, it's just a request. I didn't want to see people constantly talking about other forums here because what's the point of this forum if that's the case? Luckily that has died down quite a bit; it was probably just an outgrowth of people knowing one another from other forums anyway.
