The Mail on Sunday has previously revealed that halal meat from animals who had been stunned before slaughter was being sold in schools, hospitals, pubs and at famous sporting venues such as Ascot and Twickenham.
All the beef, chicken and lamb sold to fans at Wembley was secretly prepared in accordance with Islamic law, while Cheltenham College was one of several top public schools which also served halal chicken to pupils without informing them.

Add to the list nandos and KFC.................

I will be asking in the future before I eat the origin of the meat, unknown and I will not be ordering.

Why should we have to put up with this because some can't eat what we eat ?

Well David Cameron doesn't seem to have much of a problem eating halal meat. Here he is in Nando's in Bristol last night

I think the truth is most people don't care. I don't speak for anyone here; and will admit that personally I probably don't care as much as my heart tells me I should. People have known about KFC's foul treatment of chickens and since last year how about 100 branches are halal; people know takeaways and Nando's serve halal; and travels to countries where food is all halal.

Most people if they thought about this would realize that actually they really don't care, at all. They just make protestations because they don't like the idea it is 'Islamification'- but that wont stop them gunning for the red hot peri peri- it doesn't me mmmmmmmmmmmm haha

Nobody answered my question yet....

I don't want halal, and I don't want an Islamic prayer said over the meat I buy either.

Why is it ok to impose halal onto me or anyone else against their wishes in our own secular country?

I'll answer you, even though eating halal meat doesn't particularly bother me.

You should have a choice.

When I want to wash my hair there are dozens of shampoos to choose from within one brand, let alone all the brands put together.
I have a choice in my hair care products and I should have a choice with my food too.

that is how they killed chickens in South Africa too. I saw it when I was 4 did not speak to my mum and dad for a week. They are 70 now.

Yes I said on another thread we have chickens, the eggs are so much better, yolks are really yellow and creamy. We keep them in a stable at the yard, and they roam around with the horses in the field in the day time when we are there. Its really funny cos they chase our horses hahaha

i used to pick up ticks thinking they were raisins and put them in my mouth. My mum would scream seeing blood coming out lol. She used to make me rinse my mouth lol
