AWFUL stomach-ache, terrible pain!
It's been getting worse and worse over the past two days and I can't figure it out -- my allergies have been killing me, but I haven't been running any kind of fever, nobody else I know is sick, and I haven't been eating differently.
Does anybody know what this might be about; can pollen allergies cause stomach-aches?

Almost directly behind my navel, it's like this gnawing sensation that subsides and gets worse randomly.
Re: AWFUL stomach-ache, terrible pain!

I did take a painkiller earlier but it's supposed to be one of the kind that doesn't bother your stomach, and like I say, it's been a couple days now. Just don't get it.
Re: AWFUL stomach-ache, terrible pain!
Hernia or appendix???

Just hard to make the time, right now's my busiest season at work. Today's the first day in a while I've gotten to chill out a bit.

Mnmm...I doubt the allergies would cause you pain in the stomache, but I guess it's not impossible, we do all react to things differently .

I was wondering if some sort of post-nasal drip was irritating my stomach, but it doesn't really feel that way -- more like the baby alien's trying to escape my stomach
Re: AWFUL stomach-ache, terrible pain!
Is there any discoloration in your stools?
Does it hurt to pass stools or urine?

Ben, this might sound a bit daft, but you're my age and normally by our age we have already burst our ringer, usually by the late teens or early twenties in fact but have you actually burst yours yet?...
Some definitely can be different ages, my doctor told me before...some get it when a good bit older.

Trying to keep my fluids up. It's been getting warmer here, and I don't think I'm drinking as much water as I should be now ...

Yeah, I was about 19 when I burst mine, I believe. Hurt like hell, but I don't think that could be causing it.
Could that pain come back after many years, you think?
Re: AWFUL stomach-ache, terrible pain!

Well, I never had the bravery to have it confirmed, but the physician said he was almost positive that's what happened. The circumstances fit at least.

I was worried about an ulcer actually! Which, when I think about it, would probably only make an ulcer more likely ...

Have you had the pain before, does it always stay in the same place and is your tummy swollen?

Actually now that I think about it, it felt a lot like this after my "incident" back at age 19! Now I'm starting to worry about that ...

Gosh, at least an 8 on the richter, at least when it flares

Hmmm....stomach ulcers tend to give pain in the upper left quadrant of the chest, making folks think they are having a heart attack...but its normally higher and more to the left than cardiac pain....however a duodenal ulcer could cause the pain you describe.....

Definitely can Ben, when you did burst it at 19, was there large secretion or only small afterwards?
Sorry for the questions Ben as I'm fairly sure your pain is from the swollen gut

Well -- it was pretty small. I've heard, though, that it's better if it's bigger -- sort of happens all at once so you don't get more problems down the line?
Re: AWFUL stomach-ache, terrible pain!
There are some very strange reasons for tummy pain. You're not pregnant are you Ben?
Sorry, light relief to try and make you feel better.
