Used to be one of my brother's favorite shows, I checked it out with him a few times and it was really funny. And yes, we both live in Texas

Our public broadcasting channel (PBS) has shown a lot of British shows over the years -- VOD, Coupling, Chef, the more classic ones like Fawlty Towers & Python, along with Dr Who.

Tell me ... yeah, and she occasionally sends nasty little PMs to me and I believe some of the other mods as well.

Love some of those, a bit surprised at the Vicar of Dibley being shown, its very English I wouldnt have thought it would travel well. Glad you liked it though.

Yeah, I haven't checked out the Brit offerings on PBS in some time but it appears they're now showing Sherlock, Downton Abbey, etc. It's a great station, they also televise one of the best concert series ever made, Austin City Limits from my home state
http://video.pbs.org/program/austin-city-limits/
@VOD:
Yeah, apparently we do, though I haven't seen it. I just found a site for all the British shows that PBS broadcasts, I had forgotten there were so many -- AbFab, Keeping Up Appearances, Are You Being Served ... tons of them: http://valdefierro.com/

Do they show Dad's Army? The undertaker in that, John Laurie, during a break in his acting career, taught drama for a short time at the school I went to. Amazing man, could send shivers up your spine on a hot sunny day.

We never actually had any problem- and I like having differing views around- sometimes I'm afraid the association does you no favours haha
But yes I am sincere
Btw I've recently discovered (not by looking for it I promise) an American TV movie called Left Behind, it's about The Rapture, and I reckon you and that thing your married would love it- genuinely btw, not a piss take.

Vicar = sniff bricker,
No place like 'hame" eh?, I knew the bible thumpers would be back
I noticed you told others on other forums that I'm well hung?...why?.....
Welcome back btw, after your not -very long absence.
Don't worry about the vicar bricker bit , I used to say that when I was younger to mates ...
See the vicar if we never agreed on something...I then added sniff his bricker!
Now, you and hubby best fucking behave, some people of God, pair of fucking louts.
I'm all for second chances, don't let Ben and me down

...hey maybe some bread too Gerbs?!!, I'm sure that would be well washed down with the wine!
If I really must , I would rather be the taker than the giver!, otherwise I would need a large garden sack to cover up the face of the taker!
...I think I'll just let someone else do the negotiating Gerbs!

Re: Welcome VOD(original)!
VOD, I've watched the first two and will probably watch the third later today. They are fascinating but purely as a matter of interest in evangelical millenialists way; I credit them with no believability whatsoever.
From a movies pov though they are easy viewing but nothing special.
What concerns me is the psychological believing that kind of future could have on people today ...

Re: Welcome VOD(original)!
I'm afraid as much as I'm enjoying the films (Buck is lovely), they in no way present a convincing or even realustic case for that one interpretation of revelation. I wont be reading the books in any case
I thought you two may have seen and read them though, the films echo your words well haha but like the Bible, the series is a work of a person/people with a very specific set of beliefs and a pretty apparent agenda.
Still compelling viewing though
