UK Economy To Hit 2008 Pre-Recession Peak This Summer
10th March 2014
Well done, Mr Osbourne. I thank you for being steadfast against much opposition and doom-mongering.
The size of the overall UK economy will this summer overtake the peak level it was at before the 2008 financial crisis, a business lobby group says.
The British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) thinks the second quarter, starting in April, will see GDP exceed the level seen at the start of 2008.
In upgraded forecasts, it estimates economic growth will be 2.8% this year - up from its earlier estimate of 2.7%.
But it also warns of an "unacceptably high" level of youth unemployment.
'Sunny predictions'
"Our economic recovery is gaining momentum," said BCC director general John Longworth.
"Businesses across the UK are expanding and creating jobs, and our increasingly sunny predictions for growth are a testament to their drive and ambition."

Plan A isn't working of course it is. What have Labour to say on the matter attack companies and tax them more. Hmmm really good to know that the union man Milliband knows how to attack the bosses of businesses driving the economy back into the black..

Great news!
Now as long as this amazing growth is MATCHED by an equally sharp drop in unemployment; a rise in 'proper jobs' and pay then the Tories may actually save themselves being demolished next year!

The number of new jobs has surpassed everyones expectations already and the pace is quickening. Strange that now Plan A has worked when you have said it was failing that you presume Labour will landslide back into power.

Did I say that?
Zero hours, temporary and part-time jobs are not signs of real recovery, how many of these new jobs fit those descriptions? Of course if enough people are happy the Tories wont have a problem eh

The number of full time jobs exceeds the part time in the last figures. Keep up. You are too busy repeating Labour propaganda. Whether you like it or not the coalition have turned the mess left by Labour around. Have they cut enough you bet they haven't but in time the public sector can be brought down to a manageable size.
That is of course unless Labour get in and they will open the spending taps again until they bust us. You are really keen on profligacy you lefties.

I am not, and never have been, a Labour supporters. So your tired cliches are not only shit as usual, but misplaced and wasted on me.
But then aside from slagging off Labour, the Soviet Union (code for any form of Socialism or Communism in your simplistic little mind) and the 'EUSSR' (cause you think that little gimmick just oh so clever eh) you aren't actually much good for anything debate wise are you...
