Advertisement ECONOMY Poll Finds Upturn in Sentiment on Tax Overhaul and Economy
Americans are warming to the Republican tax law, and becoming more confident in the economy as a whole. They just aren’t sure that Cheeto-Faced Ferret-Wearing Shit Gibbon deserves much credit.
The tax overhaul that Mr. Trump signed into law just before Christmas remains relatively unpopular and highly polarizing, according to a new poll conducted for The New York Times by SurveyMonkey. But support for the law has grown significantly over the past month, and more Americans believe that they will receive a tax cut. Forty-six percent of Americans strongly or somewhat approved of the law in early January, up from 37 percent when the bill was nearing passage in December.

It's not really Trumps plan, he just signed it. I doubt he has a clue what's in it.
But, about 90% of Americans will see a raise next month. I predict 99.9% will keep it and not insist on paying more.

He knows the tax breaks he got. The guy's as dumb as a stone, but he knows $$$. Look at the new tax advantages for real estate companies.

Unless you are writing off local taxes and interest on the big houses.

It's negligible for them. And mortgage interest? Pfft...the wealthy pay cash.

Guess How you describe wealthy.
Anyway, it was the folks in Cali bitching about not getting their write offs. It's because housing is so expensive there.

Geeze, it's not hard to locate them. They are up there in that little, tiny sliver called the '1%'. 1% of all income earned. 1% of all property owned. Control of all Republicans in Congress. Capitalists when it comes to profits; socialists when it comes to risks.
Or, read the new Tax Act. Follow the flow of money...it leads directly into their wealthy pockets.

OK, that would be everyone making about 350-400K and up.
I can assure you, most of them borrow money for houses.

I don't think you can. And with this new tax law, I can assure you they are the only ones who can afford to eschew mortgages.

No you don't. You'd rather lie. You don't know shit about what will happen with this Tax Act…or you do, and you are just as willing to bullshit as the Republicans. The Tax Act is designed with chutes and ladders, and all sorts of false traps.
The Federal IRS Code is fundamentally and deliberately progressive...remember, progressive income tax? That means the wealthy pay incrementally more taxes as they have more...it hurts them less.
Heretofore, the only reason to have a mortgage for the wealthy was because of the tax advantage. Cancel the deduction, then the wealthy will do away with the mortgage. But who can do that among the poor and middle income families?
Already increasing the deficit by $1.5-trillion, the Republicans looked for ways to make up for the shortfall created by the Tax cut for corporations. They hit on the poor and middle-income families; they can't cast off their mortgages. They are the ones hurt by loss of the mortgage deduction. The wealthy just retire their loans. It's Robin Hood in reverse: steal from the poor and middle-income folks, to give to the rich.
But you weren't going to mention that, were you?

Yes, I specialize in cleaning bank bathrooms because they are different than bathrooms in other buildings.
