What do you reckon Phil? Sounds like a bit of a dirge to me and she's wearing far too many clothes for my liking.

I bet it does better than Bonnie Tyler did!

True, that was painful even in the good parts. The kids always laugh at me for watching it each year but it's a spectacle that is tongue in cheek and fun. Of course the semi naked women do draw my attention.

I would suggest plenty of drums at the Euro performance, and less of the god stuff from last year!
Lots of dancers doing funny dancing, and being over the top
Only way to win it!....Or not!

Is it that time of year again neat. I liked last years sparkly vampire guy and Margret Burger. Was the guy in the box last year too?

I reckon it is one of the best from us for years. more European and Bollywood than anything else.
It is growing on me.
Needs to be loud though.
We might even get the Eastern Europe block votes, doubt they will be voting for Russia..

Ha Ha .......I happen to quite like it. I will draw the line though and refuse to sing the Red flaming flag
Hey even Germany might vote for us this year, Merkel is quite positive towards DC at the mo. Greece could also help the UK up the score board..... They need tourists for the summer season......

Re: Eurovision 2014
I only used to watch it for Terry Wogan's comments - classic! The Beeb shut him up towards the end though, shame. Funny how some little things stick in your mind - I can remember one priceless act dressed in silver like a stormtrooper with a face like a horse - soon as she burst into song Wogan says "check out the choppers on that.." Couldn't stop laughing. They ought to let Graham Norton do the commentary, uncensored, that'd make my day.Cass wrote:This is one of the things I really miss about the UK....1985 was my first year and I was like WTF????? Yea...We always think we're going to do well, then always seem to come near the bottom, most of the time, and even when we've had well known stars performing our entry.
Some shit always wins!

It's a bit more like the usual stuff which wins Eurovision. I don't know why anyone bothers really - it all sounds pretty much the same these days.

@ all you guys.................
Yes it is now political, we have a dinner party on Euro night. Cooking done during voting so we can listen to votes in kitchen.
Huge fun
But that said I do think Molly stands a good chance, there is only so much and the Ukraine won because it was the most outrageous and when listened to three times the best.
Think out side the box peeps..................
Will western euro people want to travel to eastern countries as they are in turmoil as we speak with best golfer......... Putin ace...
Maybe Eire will win as being the furthest from the conflicts....

There will be parties all over the globe during the contest and there is a list here...
http://www.eurovision.tv/page/news?id=eurovision_2014_parties_held_across_the_globe
And although it isn't mentioned there will also be one in Gerber's kitchen.
If I can't be in Copenhagen then I'll be giving it a miss. It's a wonderful city and I've been there several times as well as in Korsor and Naskov. Cracking country.

I thought it wouldn't be but actually Graham Norton does a brilliant job; with the same level of brutal sarcasm at the ridiculous voting- I watch it for the voting to be honest- the music isn't exactly the best

Very much the same here - that's when Terry was at his sharpest.

TBH I don't think Ireland could afford to host next year's show if it won, that's why they send such crappy entries lately!
