Aussie singer Jess Mauboy on her way to Eurovision final

Jessica Mauboy has sung her way through to the Eurovision final in Lisbon.

It was the Aussie singer's first tilt at competition in Portugal, after a week of typical glitzy Eurovision events, from the Blue Carpet opening to numerous rehearsals to refine her made for TV performance.
Mauboy performed the made-for-Eurovision song We Got Love, and in a departure from the usual prop-heavy competition performances, she was the only person on stage.
There were no dancers, no special effects- just Jess, singing and dancing up a storm.
It was such an energetic performance that the 28-year-old sustained a minor injury in her first rehearsal - whiplash from the Beyonce-Style hair whipping.
It’s been quite the journey for Mauboy, from Darwin to the international stage in Lisbon.
